mJZx On paper the E90 looks fabulous but with a series 60 operating system I can safely assume it dosen't offer me quite what i'd expect.Symbian os is great on small smartphones but for a fully fledged pda you need something with a bit more grunt.Wm is far more flexible. You can customize to almost any degree.I also need a device that will sync(wireless) with outlook.mediaplayer, calender etc.I don't want to waste time trying to train voice command either.I need a device/os that has the option to add quality 3rd party applications.Their's no netfront for s60 9.xx and coreplayer for the e90 dosen't play a host of files.Sadly many symbian applications don't function nearly as well as the wm programs.E90 is a waste.I'd say it's the equivalent of having a sony vaio with windows 98!lol.I'll be spending my cash on the TyTN II.

kmakis,
Listen with good ears and listen well to what i am going to say. no matter how good a Nokia or Sony ericsson devices are they cannot hold a candle to the Tytn. They are just no march! It is like compering the very besst of Toyota and a Rolls or Bently. They are not in the same league>
I have had all the Top of the range Nokia i.e Nokia N95 and Sonyericsson P990i but i always kept a pocket Pc around. If you want to have rest of mind buy the Tytn 11.

Abaaas - I too am concerned about the weight & size of the phone. But my needs have changed and I have to upgrade to a smartphone. I've always gone with phones that have a small form to them.
But I'll keep my w810i and swap the SIM card when I'm not needing to have smartphone on me ... plus I'd hate to loose an expensive phone at the club while indulging in too many adult Kool-aids :-)

hello everyone, i had all the sonyericson' Pseries starting from P800 to P910i. 2 or 3 years ago (when it first came out)i decided to go to Qtek 9100. Not only was it unusable but very bad. I sold it for 50€ just to get rid of it. Both its english and Greek version s.... . Ace greece would pay less than 10€ for taking it back, which at the time still cost 700€. I went back to sonyericson p990 just to be even more dissapointed, since s/w was incompatibble w/ previous. The fact that ace is still in charge of htc leaves me very wary. Its not only a matter of s/w and operations, its also a matter of ease to use, compatibility and hardware and support. Nokia and sony ericson are good in support and nokia throught the years gave what it promised. Although i really like this device, i'ld like an honest opinion. It was a fact of technical specifications and good opinions of some that led me to buy the Qtek9100 and therefore am kinda in a dillemma before spending another 800€ that it costs in Greece.

Pjox, how can you be sure that the E90 is basically an N95 with a QWERTY when you have not extensively used it?? You have not given technical details of its limitations compared to the TyTN II.
I believe that colour depth and resolution are important. HTC should have gone for VGA res but because this would have meant increasing processor speed and battery capacity they chickened out!! PhoneArena agree that VGA res should have been implemented.
Alkali, I take it that youtube can be played directly on the phone via WLAN or GPRS without having to download from a PC. It looks as if I-mate's 7150 Ultimate has been cancelled (damn it! I was looking forward to vivid VGA on small phone screens) so I will give this phone a try.

Not many people would have used both the TyTN II and the E90 extensively.E90 has a better screen, a slighty better camera and possibly is easier to use for the basics eg calls and texting. The biggest difference lies within the operating systems.Wm6 is more suited to 'power users' and to my mind a device of this caliber has to use wm or linux. The E90 is basically an N95 with a qwerty keyboard!!

Alkali, thanks for your acidic view on performance in bright sunlight and keypad responsiveness! Perhaps these are two areas SE need to improve on. Anyway this phone is definitely on my shortlist. i am just waiting to see whether i-mate's Ultimate 7150 is a hoax or not! Two questions: if WM supports only 65K how come i-mate are advertising their Ultimate series as 262K?? Secondly can this phone play YouTube videos with the built in flash player? I like a bit of pleasure after business!!

I have a TyTn II (Kaiser) ordered from ebay, and this is the best phone I have ever had since using a PDA way back in '98. It has everything that I need compared to the O2 zinc I previously had. This phone is SOLID.

Windows Mobile only supports up to 65k colours, so blame Microsoft for that!

I have to say the TyTN II is a fantastic piece of kit.Over the years I had heard/read so many negative comments regarding HTC and in particular windows mobile os. Initially I was very wary from straying from nokia and Sony Ericsson(symbians)but this wm6 ppc is an absolute joy to use. It's very fast and a true multitasker,3rd party software is excellent,GPS is great as is the touchscreen.Don't get me wrong I still enjoy my n95 and my old p910 but the TyTN II is on a completely different level.Try it and you will buy it!GREAT.

Haha, that's funny. What do you call the people who uses HP 69xx, 65xx, Blackberry and Palm Tero users? They have even smaller keypad and they've been using them for years. Mini-Midget?

The Screen resolution is very poor in sunlight.
2. You have to be a midget to enjoy typing with the slide keyboard

Two questions- and I need honest answers. What is the screen like in bright sunlight?? The previous TyTN failed dismally in this aspect because it did not have a transreflective screen. Secondly is the keypad responsive so that one can type with speed and accuracy?
