The direct draw driver problem is definately frustrating but lets not forget this PPC is a brilliant piece of kit.
Run kaiser tweaks to adjust timeout on screen/keyboard etc etc http://www.jongma.org/KaiserTweak/
Does the TyTN II come with touchflo or do you have to install that yourself??
keep an eye on this thread http://forum.xda-developers.co...php?t=339745
I agree, a petition might help. pls sign it people. otherwise we must all sponser a buck and hire a software dev. still luving this phone. tcpmp is a marvelus video player. just make sure to download the wma audio plugin.
@tawd but the guys over at xda-developers will implement the drivers in a new rom.Or Are you trying to say that no device will ever have 3d divers?lol..
to the gentleman who's saying that there is no use for this petition: what is the solution that you propose?? what is the substitute??
The petition for 3D drivers isn't going to go anywhere... The root of the problem lies with QualComm - upon release of the MSM7200 there was never a Direct 3D driver/SDK created so no other company (like HTC) could even implement such drivers necessary to get the Q3Dimension engine to run.
Even so, that's not the only problem. HTC isn't exactly well known for their software support. Take a look at the TyTN 1 - GPS was present in the modem chipset, but it was never enabled (later on we found out there wasn't even an internal antenna present). Also, look at the P3600, HTC never released full software support of the ATi graphics chipset..
Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying HTC isn't capable of releasing software support for the 3D accelerator - but considering their recent past with such support, I really, REALLY doubt it's EVER going to happen. And to further illustrate my point, how about you take a look at the HTC website's product page for the TyTN II. There IS NO REFERENCE TO IT'S 3D CAPABILITIES WHATSOEVER. They don't even advertise it, so why would they try to implement it? Now, keep in mind that 3D acceleration isn't the only thing missing that the MSM7200 is capable of... It also supports direct TV output, 30FPS recording @ VGA resolution, VGA playback @ 30 FPS, and HSUPA - none of which are implemented in the TyTN II.
Sorry guys, but all of your TyTN II's are running with the e-brake on, and no online petition is going to change that.
where can i download tomtom and can i do it directly from TyTn II (tilt)? How do i download the HTC home page to my tilt? Thanx eddie
Of coarse you can. This is windows mobile professional on a PPC not symbian on a n95 :-).Resco file explorer has a network facility.I use the ftp file manager to send and receive files from my phone to my pc and pc to phone using only my phone to browse my pc's folders.
pls i wanted to find out if the htc tytn2/tilt has any software or is capable of file sharing via wifi/wlan...i have an n95 and i can transfer files from my n95 to my computer and vice versa via wifi/wlan(i send songs) without even connecting the cable..i dont know if the tiolt can do this because i really want to buy the tilt soonest..or maybe there is some 3rd party app that can do that on the tilt....ill be happy if i get a response on this ....thanks
