DirtydAmbrose, 06 Apr 2017Excuse me but Htc 10 was one of best of 2016 it was the fastest of all 2016 flagships.Ambrose,
I agree..........I've had the 10 for 3 mos now (after replacing my now former Sony Xperia X Performance with it) and it is VERY fast! It loads up apps, installs updates, etc. VERY quickly. I absolutely LOVE this phone!
Did you notice on the unofficial specs page for the 11 here on GSM Arena that it says it WILL have a 3.5mm jack? I thought that was interesting has all other reports indicate it very likely won't. What do you think?
I am also hoping they bring back CLASSIC BoomSound for the 11/U vs. the 10's Hi-Fi BoomSound. The pics on here indicate 2 BOTTOM-FACING stereo speakers, which I am not happy with, and hope it's not true and that they are front-facing. But if it is, I hope HTC AT LEAST utilizes the front top speaker for when you play music on it. I guess we'll find out soon enough.
I am like 50/50 on upgrading to the 11/U/Ocean. I am not thrilled about the phone basically becoming a phablet, but it sounds like it will be with the 5.5" screen. I wish they at least went with the 18:9 screen like the S8/S8+ will have so you get more screen with less body. And also I wish/hope they make the battery bigger than 3000 mAh considering it's the same battery the 10 uses but now it's a bigger phone. I know the 835 is more efficient on power than the 10's 820 is, but still, it's a bigger phone. lol
But the Edge Sense thing sounds really cool, it appears the 11 won't have a front home pad (so it will look LESS like a Samsung phone ftw lol), I'm sure the camera will be better..........if the phone has a great DAC and amp like the 10, then that would be a MAJOR plus for me. Also, if HTC makes it fully compatible with T-Mobile the way they did with the 10 (i.e. certifying it for VoLTE/Wi-Fi Calling with T-Mobile on the unlocked phones too), then that will be another big plus for me.
DirtydAmbrose, 06 Apr 2017It also has dual speakers which no sammy does actually most have a mono speaker and this is bo... moreWell I hope there are enough people who will prefer dual speakers over compact body with large screen.
Asghar, 29 Mar 2017it must have a Infrared Port for controll home applinacesNope most dont need or want that feature.
Anonymous, 03 Apr 20173.5mm jack and stereo speakers are back, eh? Could be too late, nobody takes them seriously an... moreExcuse me but Htc 10 was one of best of 2016 it was the fastest of all 2016 flagships.
Chrjns, 03 Apr 2017It could cost more than iphone7+, s8, s8+,pixel and pixel plus.... At least Sony is not dying ... moreThat is a joke it wont cost more probably same price, which a quality product with top specs should.
Anonymous, 03 Apr 2017It's a big mistake for htc company.its samsung design just like u ultra, just have a look to ba... moreinfared is so overrated I had Htc phones that had it and I never used it once, and was stupid for phone cases to leave top of phone unprotected for stupid infared when phone could hit that end and having a case would be useless and have a banged up phone so no on infared that was a smart move.
Arian Adler, 04 Apr 2017After M8 I missed HTC's design language U = another "Samsung+iPhone" combinationMost would take that as a compliment as both of those brands sell a lot. Htc needs good sales we need them as they make the best quality phones, they just dont always make the best decisions and they lack a good advertising budget, but hopefully with all they money they make off of pixel sales that they can afford to really advertise.
techlover1, 04 Apr 2017Come on HTC, you must be at parallel level with the S8 s & XZ Premium on the specs sheet. I will lay odds on this Htc being way faster than any samsung and way faster multi tasking over any apple.
Gpran, 04 Apr 2017HTC is going against the grain and betting big on bezels. First ultra and now this. Big screen... moreIt also has dual speakers which no sammy does actually most have a mono speaker and this is boomsound. Htc always has the best audio. You can have fun with your mono speaker.
if pictures are real, then looks like htc did manage to reduce bezels little bit compared to u ultra and also remove giant camera hump.
AESHANBEEL, 04 Apr 2017its HTC 11 or another phone can anyone tell me ?Yes, it is
Hephaestus8, 04 Apr 2017Oh! The squeeze phone! Now, the design make a lot of sense. Theres nothing on the side so we c... moreThe only squeeze this phone will feel is the pressure as many better phones squeeze it out of the market.
right, fingerprint senor front mounted...where exactly? they used the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor...
Why are all manufacturers making huge slabs now? You can't use a phone with 5.5" effortlessly with 1 hand, by just moving your thumb and you only get the best features in phones over 5.2" Putting the huge slab against the ear looks quite stupid too.
HTC is going against the grain and betting big on bezels. First ultra and now this. Big screen, big bezels = giant phone. I hope this pressure sensitive thing is not just a gimmick, otherwise hard to see anyone choosing this over others in same price range
Come on HTC, you must be at parallel level with the S8 s & XZ Premium on the specs sheet.
