Straight out of the box, this phone's performance isn't that great, i'll admit. Although keep in mind it is a BUDGET PHONE. It's not meant to perform as flawlessly as its more expensive counterparts. However, with a little tweaking, it's possible to make the HTC Wildfire S perform quite impressively.
The main problem i'll address is its low internal memory. It has a total of 150mb, but only about 50mb is available for use. That's the biggest problem with the phone that I have found.
HOWEVER, a few tweaks can make this phone perform VERY well. Firstly, ROOT the phone. Second, Install a custom ROM. I used the ROM called AOKP, which upgraded me to an unofficial version of 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. Third, buy a microSD card, preferably 8gb or higher. And lastly, PARTITION the microSD card.
After doing all these steps, the phone will perform MUCH faster than the stock HTC Sense rom.
Worst phone I ever owned, very slow couldent even text without the buttons lagging
internal storage low
no inner camera
very little app support
android version cant be updated much(htc obviously abandoned this phone)
...don't feel like saying more bout' this shit
Please dont buy this stupid phone, atlast i selled for one of my relative (he dont know anything android ).when i used this i have faced problems with this phone like
2.Internet is very slow
3.no andriod apps (only whtsapp can use).
4.in this we cant upgrade factory defaults because of internal memory is low and version(gingerbread 2.3) is also low.
5.128 mb can be used in 512 MB .
6.Gmail and nothing APPs can be upgraded.
7.only camera and sound is Good Rather than that nothing Good.
IF u take this phone It will be like "U Will get married and No SEX CAN BE DONE "
Good phone for the first year
then as time passes it gradually gets slower and slower to respond until it becomes unbearable to use. Also regularly starts to 'force close' everything.
Messages take an age to open and send
Memory is so low, it frequently doesnt allow me to view pictures or send messages until i delete things. Cant move any apps to the external memory card. Forever deleting everything on the phone just to be able to use the thing as its so low on memory all the time. I dont even have much on it! Only 3 apps, no music, so there really isnt a reason for it but low memory
