The Motorola ROKR EM35 has CrystalTalk technology, making a difference in conversation clarity by reducing background noise. A second microphone eliminates more background noise from the call. The ROKR EM35 has dedicated keys to launch and control music. Users can listen via the built-in dual speakers, stereo Bluetooth wireless technology or 3.5mm stereo wired headphones. With the FastScroll navigation wheel, users can access the music library by moving just a thumb. Sliding the phone open, customers can send a text or surf the web while listening to music, or to pause the music and make a phone call. Pre-installed and downloadable widgets provide real-time information such as weather, sports scores, stock tickers, flight information, social media, news headlines and more. An integrated FM radio with Radio Data System (RDS) technology identifies songs and artists by displaying song, artist and genre.

> In reply to GTX @ 2009-02-20 17:57 from 3cHGSorry, can't comment and compare with VE66, as VE66 is not available where I live.

Even so, with possible price tag of US$100 more, I doubt I would get a VE66, especially when I have both EM35 & A3100 already.

> In reply to 100 Moto @ 2009-02-17 01:11 from Er2MOne more issue:

The volume via headphone (stock one that came with the phone) is a bit low in most cases.

In absolutely quiet environment, I can't hear any music with volume setting from 1-10 (hence making these setting uesless). Volume has to be at least 13 or so (out of 20) to be heard.

In noisy environment (like the busy streets in metropolitan cities), I usually set the volume to 17, which would then be "ok".

Setting at 20 would be quite loud for hearding with headphones being plugged directly into the ears, as I also believe any volume higher than 20 may damage one's ears. (maybe Moto purposely designed so to avoid possible lawsuits in US)

Volume setting for radio is different from music, which is the same as other previous Moto phones.

Also just learned about the Crystal Talk setting can be changed...by default the setting is Clear, (vs. Normal), then Crisp and Bright.

I just changed to "Bright" and will test it later with my friend...who I always call to test my Moto phones!

> In reply to Kranthi @ 2009-02-16 12:24 from i4dTBoth are no longer issues for EM35...indeed, sometimes I find the phone reacts "too fast" that I purposely turn off the scroll wheel.

Some "not exactly good points" for EM35 are:

1)The cursors are too close with the scroll wheel, which means navigating the cursor may touch the scroll wheel and vice versa

2)The "up" cursor doesn't response too well...again due to the fact buttons are too small and sensitive. Pressing up may end up being "enter"

3)Can't remember for E8, though EM35 cannot display both the song's name and the artist's name "at the same time", unlike my Zn5. (maybe due to the small screen on EM35

4)The "hole" for the strap is on the bottom of the phone, meaning it was designed to hang the phone on the neck, instead of in a pouch around the waist (which I personally prefer)

PS. I wonder what happened to the guy who doubted my ownership of EM35 earlier...any response?

I am using Rokr E8 now and Its a masterpiece except two flaws. i wanted to know does EM35 carry the same or are they rectified?
1) The interface is very slow
2) Phone doesn't Ring and vibrate at the same time. Though it has vibrate then ring, I wanted vibrate and ring feature.
Please clarify so that I can go ahead and purchase the phone.
