> In reply to jou @ 2009-03-10 14:16 from p$tUThat's because it will take at leat 5, 10, or 15 years for other brands be capable to make anything similar to capture that segment of the market...not likely for anyone you know.
My company indeed is interested in such device for its scanning capabilites, and compare to other similar deveices (think about the device you see FedEX or UPS staff are carrying...), this unit is relatively small.

> In reply to m3th4don @ 2009-03-10 17:57 from 0UiaJust curious as if you ever use your phones outdoor and drop them perhaps at least once a week and see if they can survive like Moto phones.
My friend's N76 only dropped ONCE, and the flip already turned 180 degrees and lost the flip open to answer function, while my friend's wife uses Moto V3maxx survived at least 50 similar impact and still works perfectly.
This MC series is NOT designed for people like you...the barcode scanning capabilities are likely for those in logistics.

> In reply to [deleted post]Let's see when the other 2 brands you mentioned EVER can come out with such INDUSTRIAL device.
The device is capable to scan barcodes for logistics, delivery, products visibility, etc...
So if your favorite companies can come out with such device, let me know so my company can consider. (yes, my COMPANY is considering such barcode reading device...)
A PHONE for EVERYBODY eh? Some company can't even make its own WM base phone!

Think about architects, engineers, contractors, etc. who may need a tough phone and require a smartphone capabilities for business purposes! I for one like it (except for that huge bulging bump on top...I know... its a tough antenna..)
