Anyway,
Firmware is basically operating system(such as windows, Linux,etc). But they are embedded onto the hardware, meaning they are more closely coupled with the hardware of the phone.

Smart phones are not designed to act as WiFI hotspot. They are designed to connect to existing Wifi Network(as far as wifi is concerned)
When it is acting like a hotspot, the battery demand is exponentially increased and hence the heat up. this is not only for e52 but for any phone in general.

Try cleaning up your windows using Ccleaner(free) or some other alternatives. Reboot the system, It might resolve the problem, if not try repairing your nokia OVI suite or just re-install.
If the problem still persists after the above actions, then it is very likely that it is something to do with your handset. Try Factory RESET, you will not loose any of your data, I have done it multiple times, and that is the beauty of this phone.

Very Urgent !!!

I have a Nokia E52 since Feb,2010 but now i am facing the problem during connect the phone to PC as "Mass storage device".

There is no problem in connecting as "pc suit" or "connet to web". PC`s USB port also has no problem.

Now please help me, how i connect again as mass storage device?

i've just bought an e52. i updated the sofware via SW update in the phone via web access point. everything works well. sound is awesome, browser is interactive. but i also install opera mini to browse the web faster (take note that opera mini compressed the data, so it is lightweight and faster to download).
mobile internet browsing speed is very good.

the only negative i see is the absence of Bluetooth PAN. with bluetooth pan, wireless web connect to pc is faster. my g502 has bluetooth PAN and i can make 3 laptop internet connection to my g502. i tried also joikuspot premium to make my e52 wifi hotspot but the data transfer is very poor, and the battery heats-up am afraid it it may destroy electronic parts of the phone.

Hi guys,

Please tell me something about Firmware.
What is firmware?
How can i check firmware version in E52?
Is is necessary to update firmware if i buy new E52 mobile?

Some people's handset started hanging after they installed firmware..is that true?

for the sound quality you wont believe until you here it on your ear, sound qualty just awesome, it has punchy and deep bass, crisp sound, nice staging etc. Just replace the original nokia headset with good earphone or IEM like sennheiser, or nokia WH701 hf

I have had this phone for 11 months now.My nokia went off when taking a picture. it doesnt power on again.Battery is ok since it powered another phone.I have also never dropped it down.Please if there is someone who has had similar problem...need assistance

Excellent Phone i ever used. High battery life upto 5 days. Very fast processor, slim and stylish.... I highly recomend this fone...cheers
