ITs almost 2.5 months since i bought the phone. Its fun using the phone whether its calling, texing or even emailing.
Yet to find application whihc suit it. The battery life behaves much better compared to other phoned now with continuous mail downloads and 50 calls per day i am getting 1.5 days.
The GPS works great with with high resolution i can track my self walking on the streets.
The best feature is youtube client even with indian GPRS/EDGE i can get almost realtime streaming.
Wi fi behave excellent. As for the stability i hardly remember the phone hanging .
There are still some functions which need to be explored but all in all great mobile at the price of 11900 INR.

Negatives:
Head phone is not really good.
The phone doesnt have copy paste so its hectic typing mails sometimes.
The phone needs more application especially office editing applications and games.
get jar provides with certain feature but still not a fully tuned one.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2010-03-19 09:00 from uB{UI didn't say "highest", I said it had a "higher" rating than Nokia 5800. Just read the review by gsmarena, go the the section on telephony and see the test results. Corby Pro is rated at 81.1 db, and Nokia 5800 is rated at 68.5 db for ringer volume. So I'm curious about your experience. How do you find the ringer volume on the Nokia 5800?

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2010-03-19 07:51 from uB{UYou find the ringer volume on the Nokia 5800 louder than on the Corby Pro? That's weird because according to gsmarena's loudspeaker test, the Corby Pro's ringer has higher decibal rating.

Thanks for your concern....n leme congratultethe lucky guys of Samsung Corby!!
1> Ringer was set to full capacity...even then it cant beheard form the very next room.
2>I am not talking about the games....I am talking bout the 3rd party software built in .jar/.jad platform...which the ph is suppose to support...bu it's not!
3>Even the games had to acceessed by internet...n cant be used without it.
4>The price of Corby is 12.7K in this price SHOULD'NT ONE EXPECT FLASH????
5> What about the horrendous struggle that one has undergo while connecting the phone....the drivers are only for win xp n win vista....but when it comes to win 7 even the samsung website is devoid of the dver....then Could you tell me how on earth one wud connect if the driver is not supported by ur OS???

AND LET ME TELL YOU THAT I AM AN ELECTRONICS ENGINEER AND I DO MAKE RESEARCH B4 STEPPING BUT IF THE SPECIFICATION PROCLAIMED ON THE SITE BETRYAS THE ORINAL SPECIFICATION THEN EVEN EISTEIN WILL BE HELPLESS!!!

> In reply to Dip @ 2010-03-18 12:43 from uB$DI'm sorry to hear your misfortune, but you should have read the specifications about the phone.

Only Corby has dictionary.
It was also said in the spec. that there's no led flash.
Also, the review said that the second camera is only for video call.
the Ringer? well, you need to adjust it. explore more and you'll discover where to adjust it.
I use to think that the Ringer was so low but then I got around and found the option to adjust it.

Please research your desired phone before buying it and react negatively about it.

about the Java, not all units have that problem.
My Corby phone has no problem with java and I was able to put games in my phone.

Also, Skies is BS! but I dont use it because it has the same function as putting it into Mass Storage mode.

Dip, maybe you just got a bad unit but telling Samsung to stop making cellphone.. that seems over the top.

Anyway, I really hope that you'll find a much suitable phone to your liking.

Love and Respect! ^_^
