Cool phone with the latest rom update on window mobile 6.5.3 professional working smoothly with cool features like htc.

Has anybody recently tried to overclock the i780's processor successfully? I've heard rumors about the processor can be over clocked to 800Mhz!

Any idea anybody here?

i will look into it before considering buying the mugen battery because it is quite expensive at abt $100.

but it well often give you a version incorrect error , but don't worry because xda member heineken78 (http://forum.xda-developers.co...p?u=1611492) has patched the upgrader for "incorrect version" warning :


Full official PDXIB1 exe file update (Latest for this moment) wm 6.1 WWE.
Patched for "low battery" and "incorrect version" warnings.


Ensure that device battery is not less than 1/2 full before running update.
This updated is tested on XP. Might work for win7 also.

Here is full pdxib1 update in parts for Mirage updater (Mirage LV, md5hashcheker incl.).

Read this before flashing:
Use appropriate files for sections in Mirage otherwise you can kill bootloader or kill phone part by flashing wrong sections!!!
Also check downloaded files if download is not corrupted by MD5Hash with MD5filechecker.

PXIB1eboot.nb0 (MD5hash 8B8208EC5A91AA41A9D559DD73A5296B) - is set to EBOOT section
PDXIB1ROM.bin (MD5Hash 156EBBE10D25BF07FD3D44A09EABFBFB) -is set to PDA section
PDXIB1phone.bin (MD5hash CC5CB50A873D37C7F4EEB3D78D5D7B6F) -is set to Phone section.
Note: for flashing of Phone part you need to install SAMSUNG MODEM DRIVER, thats included. You have to install modem drivers once-dont install if have it installed already.
Insure thats "update phone bootloader" is ticked "ON".
Start flashing. Hardreset is not necessary.
* you can also flash those files separately. Need to perform Hardreset after. If you flash bootloader only - you have to pull out battery before switching on.
* if you flash any ROM file, like offical or custom only - always keep "update phone bootloader part" ON.

I one of the review of Mugen power battery I noticed some people getting updated from the mobile company on how to rectify this issue. And no, this is not for i780 though the device that had received an battery patch was a HP device that was running WM6.1 now let me check if it works.

Go to the following link and toward the bottom of the page you'll see this

Update: HP has released a patch that can be downloaded here that fix the bug introduced in ROM version 1.1 where the extended battery level was not reported correctly.

Please ensure you click on the word here in the link provided above so you get the patch, install it on ur i780 and check if there's any difference.

(OR)

Another option that you have is to look up for Samsung released an ID1 update which came for Samsung i907 Epix. They are a few patches that help to resolve the battery meter issue as well.

Well, OS bundles comes with battery capacity norms, when the OEM want you to use their own brand and third party battery brands, they make a few changes to the OS, when you get third party battery it malfunctions. Well, gimme details on which bundle did you flash your i780 with should be able to rectify it!
