Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 has been released in UK US and can be upgraded to ICS costing 230 pounds or 20000 equivalent rs....it has two things better than neo v, internal memory extra n 250mb RAM...cud have gone for it after reviewing but it will take about a month to come to india n had already waited that much..if qce 2 indeed costs 20000rs then I think they are taking 2500 rs more just for Ram n intrrnal memory n dual core but 800mhz..could be a tough call..not much difference though.

> In reply to Simran000 @ 2012-05-26 11:34 from vGi7 - click to readThat's the good thing about amoled. They eat less energy for normal tasks. Although its a fact that web browsing in a amoled screen takes away a lot of juice (3 times that of LCD). Reason is that white colour turns each amoled pixel to maximum output which is around 6 compared to a constant 2 of LCD. But when it comes to colours or total black screen, amoled eats less than 2 or 0 at black. Hence, more black portions in a amoled screen lowers battery drain. So keeping a black wallpaper is the best for amoled. LCD eats same power be it black colour or total white.

> In reply to Smiter @ 2012-05-24 17:09 from 7tG5 - click to readThere is no doubt about galaxy note its very good ive taken neo v because of its size and good looks, note is wide and uncomfortable to hold for me for longer hours usage and neo v is comfortable to hold and about their performance its one week now since ive bought neo v n its too very fast no lags but only heating problem in neo v now its heating prob is less than before and my note does not heat too much like this.

Internet performance I've used 3g in note so its very fast good video streaming n flash games and ive not used 3g in neo v so i can not say now and neo v's 2g speed is not bad.
Display-Note is super amoled and neo v is led with bravia engine i like note's display more its quality is amazing and its big screen too and neo v's clarity is also good but i'll say note's.

User Interface i like neo v's ive used first time timescape ui and very good good.

And about gaming i dont know about neo v ive not played any game till now on neo v and note's gaming is awesome.

Battery life-Note's battery is good more than neo v if i do heavy usage on note its battery lasts upto 45% or 40% for one day which ive observed and neo v's upto 30% sometimes 20% but neo v's battery is improved and its giving good performance now.

Anyone please help…..
Condition: Plug in ear piece and listening music or FM radio.

With Silent mode “OFF”:
During incoming call or SMS, phone and ear piece both can hear the incoming call tone and SMS tone. – This is fine.

With Silent Mode “ON”:
During incoming call , ear piece can hear the incoming call tone. – This is fine

Problem:
If got incoming SMS, why ear piece cannot hear any SMS tone?
Is this a behavior of Xperia Neo V or do I missed out any setting?
This issue cause me missed out a lot incoming sms during listening music or Radio,
Anyone please help ?

All you've got to do is download App2SD from Play Store and it will always remind you whenever you download a software that can be moved to the SD card.

> In reply to amay @ 2012-05-25 13:38 from s8E3 - click to readWell, in one word......DON'T.
Although I did like the new features and looks but its not worth sacrificing the camera quality. ICS affects the camera.....photos are ok but videos took a hit. Frame rates lowered somewhat.
Changes:
1. Smart dialer.
2. Notification bar is transparent. Notification handling is much improved. External music players show controls in the drop down notification page, etc."
3. New camera UI.
4. Face unlock (soomewhat a gimmick). But works.....
5. Bluetooth internet tethering (haven't tried yet).
6. Many ICS only apps like Chrome browser works really well.
7. Transition effects are much cooler now. Especially orientation swap effect (landscape to portrait n vice versa).
8. New multitasking view...
Etc ....
The BAD:
1. Homescreen is not very smooth now. All homescreen apps are laggier now.
2. HD video recording is somewhat laggy.
3. 30% of android market games aren't working or having graphics issues. ICS isn't meant for gaming in a 1ghz phone.
All in all, I don't hate ICS. And am not going back to GB. As the user experience is kinda better in ICS. No ram issues......believe me. Totally same as GB.
I say, you stick with GB for a while.....play with your phone and when you feel bored with it......get ICS. SIMPLE!!!
