Does any USA seller has any offer with Mate 2 for this Thanksgiving 2014?
Yes! Very happy to hear the announcement that Mate 2 will be getting Android 5.0!
I honestly didn't think it would get any update at all, and was still happy with my phone.
Obviously Huawei took user feedback seriously, and is committed to doing business in North America.

Since they are not going to support (no further updates etc) this phone you can dump this one. Their one big push in the US market with the mate 2 is FAIL. They need to go back to China those people are used to being screwed over.

I have already received one OTA update from Huawei that corrected a mp3 playing conflict, that update also improved camera performance.
I really enjoy my HAM2, performance and battery life are outstanding. How long have you had your HAM2?
