Hi everybody I need your help pleas. i am going to buy JAMin but i need some clarifications from the users. 1) Dose it gets stuck frequently, spicily when you are using some program and at the same time you receive a call? 2) Is it very sensitive for example, dose it get dame easily if it fall down?

I've been using the JAM 850 for well over a year, all over the U.S. and in Mexico, before and after the AT&T/Cingular switch, with no problem. The JAMin is an upgraded version, which is why I'm getting it, and how I saw the question in your post. Hope this helps, and good luck.

hi everyone i really need help i am about to get the jamin but i've heard that its speaker volume is so low?? is that true can anyone inform me?? and how is it compared to the stereo speakers of the kjam?!!!!

WOnderin, could somebody pls HELP! I have tried everything. I want to sync with Activesync but keep on getting a 85010014 error, does someone have a solution?

Great phone, well at least, I like it. I have one major problem though. I transfer large files but I have no idea how to save files i transfer via bluetooth from pc directly to the sd card on the JAMin. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME.

i am trying to add an additional storage of 1GB (SD card). When i check the storage availability in the Memory section -> storage device, it is displaying "Not Installed". Please suggest whether there is any installation that have to be done.

Hi Leah,

I dont know wt u mean by Noraml Mode... But if u r getting errors with everyting when soft reset it.. or best will be to backup ur contacts and other usfel infos/files on ur device and FORMAT it.. go to settings and click on clear storage.

hi everyboby...
is there anybody who can help me how to make my phone in normal mode? because i can't use some of my programs anymore like if im clicking the camera,conn. mgr etc...it always appear on my screen "error opening the shorcut or locating the target filenamne.
PLS HELP ME GUYS>>>

Alvin,

All ur problems will be gone if u upgrade it to latest software version available at imate.com. I didnt had any of the prob u mentioned, Strange. if u still cant solve the prob then it might be a faulty set.

I've just acquired a Jamin... second one to be exact... the 1st was returned to the manufacturer after a day. I've had this one for 2 days now.

The Good:
- Size... fits in the palm nicely. Good stylus
- Feel... very tactile finish. good build quality
- Screen... bright and clear
- Comms methods... IR, BT, USB, WiFI, Edge

The no so good... but okay:
- CPU... not super fast but will do
- OS... Windows Mobile... hey... Windows 3.1 was also icky. Long way to go but okay.
- ActiveSync... does appear to like Bluetooth. Is a known issue. No solution yet.

The bad:
- Speakerphone... awful! just can't use it. Significant distortion.
- Microphone... when used as a speaker phone the caller reported that the sound levels faded in and out. Also electronic hissing was very evident when voice pitch is high.
- Ear Speaker... low volumes even at max. You will struggle in a noisy environment.
- Call connection... not stable. Calls dropped out where my Samsung D500 held firm.
- Missed Calls?!?... not too sure about this but I appear to be getting A LOT of missed calls without hearing the handset ring... Had it for 3 days so can't say for sure. Perhaps explained by the next point...
- Phone app... come on Microsoft... you can do better. Tedious... and slow.

All in all... could be an awesome device... if you don't call alot. I do! and it just doesn't work for me.

Looking for an alternative...
Come on Sony Ericsson... the P990 is taking far too long... actually so is the PS3 from Sony... hey! common thread!

I have my I-mate Jamin working on Cingular (usa). It is fantastic! I, unfortunately (waste of time and money), tried the Eten m600+ and there is absolutely no comparison with anything that is important. There is no significant change in performance (maybe a bit noticable loading a program the first time- once loaded, seems as fast as m600).

My I-mate works flawlessly with our corporate Exchange Direct Push email, the Bluetooth works perfect with a Moto earpiece and actually works as expected with my 2005 BMW Bluetooth (downloads contacts; can activate using BMW's voice system)! I chose to purchase Microsoft's Voice Command which makes my Bluetooth phone functions work as I want them to!!!

The only thing I found that I don't like is the Clearview PDF viewer. I can't seem to uninstall it so I can use Adobe's. But that is really pretty minor.

I rate this a 10!

This is the best phone I've used since I started using mobile phones! It's beauty and functionality combined fantastically. I'd give it 9.5 out of 10.

i bought this phone. The Display is very good. The phone is nice but the sound quality is very poor. The volume is very much slow.

Hi thr., this is not like JAM< even if u remove the batt for a week the ppc will not format, u can go to settings and click clear storage, and click 1234, and it will format,

hey walid,
jus remove ur battery n keep ur phone ideal for 0.5 hr and after that jus reload ur battery. then the system will start frm its default settings... then u can use ur phone as usual. one thing u've to remember is that never try to restore anyting frm ur old memory card. change it if posble or make a format. hope this will sort out ur issue...

pl. help.

i could`t be able to dis-connect gprs connection, some body knows how to dis-connect ........ on screen next to battery meter ther is gpes conncection icon, when i click on icon for dis-connect, it shown me connected but there is no any option to dis-connect.
