Yes it does have call recording and every thing ...the most amazing thing is the battery that lasts for almost 15 hours if you take down the brightness to very low ,iam very pleased with it hope you do too

you can use Active Sync 4.5setup to syncronize ur mobile with pc .

and u can use Pocket PC Controller to completely see ur mobile in ur PC .

i bought a second hand i mate jamin mobile couple of months back. i dont have the appropriate software for me to connect to the computer if anybody has one pls send me a copy of it my email please i really need it!!!!

I have an I-mate JAMin it is so cool but has so many problems. it has problems in screen alignment and its speaker turns off after about 3 months of usage and if you change it to an original one the sound is so low. I have changed my jamin speaker twice and the result is a sound which is too low even if its original. the bluetooth in it is slow and a very bad camera which is so slow.the most wonderful thing in jamin is the high sound of its earphones they are fantastic.plz if you have a way to fix screen alignment send me an email to hussam_moukaddem_5@hotmail.com

i treat my imate like crap since its almsot 2 years old. lol, its one tough cookie. the only problems i have with it are the volume and mmm, processor could be a bit faster, but im running a WM6 so meh

purchased it about 12 months ago,second hand.had the lcd and the speaker replaced 9 months ago.(BOUGHT LCD FROM EBAY R450/65US$) since then iv had no problems with my jamin.just keep your speaker volume at 80% max.imate jamin is an eye turner and an excellent pda once you get used to it.i want to get the tytn II now.enjoy the imate jamin

Read this about prophet and you will find that prophet isn't sloww as it speaks:
Omap 850 is a dual core chip solution + 2d graphical chip. 1st core is an arm926 core clocked at 195Mhz and it gives around 215Mips. It is used to operate with aplications' commands etc. 2nd core is a multi-core containing arm7 core at 47,5Mhz and TI3500 DSP at 100Mhz and they give around 300Mips. They are used in heavy calculations such as sound, video, 3d and 2d graphics and gsm signals(they ate a lot of Mips). If any core is overburdend it uses help from other core. intel's 416 processor has around 530Mips. you can turnoff the phone function, i think it should speed up video and sound processing such as gaphics. I have prophet, and it didn't disapoint me.

They all have the same problem with the external speaker. I have had 2 Jamins and 1 Qtek s200. The speaker on all three stopped functioning. Change the speaker. If you can find a JAM speaker thats even better than the original

JAMin is a good phone when the hardware part is concerned. But its software is not upto the standard. And i-mate doesnt release a WM6 ROM upgrade either. I got a new WM6 ROM from XDA forum and flashed my phone. Its pretty faster, with all new features. My ROM is called shadow vista aero, and I did a Hard SPL too. Now flashing into WM 6 is so simple, thanks to all the senior members of XDA forum. So go for WM6, and get the best use from you i-mate JAMin.

It's a good phone given the fact it is effectively old technology. Go onto XDA-Developers and upgrade it to wm6 it's a shame IMATE don't release a proper version for this phone. It actually fixes many of the issues people have complained about. The Battery is the biggest issue. There is a jumbo 2500mah battery available.
