you should also try the technical support. with all its problems they are not helpful and they dont respond to you and if they do they dont do anyting to solve the problem. Not to mention that they are so unprofessional in handling complaints. I am really going to blog this and make this really bad for imate. they wasted my time and money.. a lot of it!!

I know the travel charger for I-mate Jam is a mini USB connector. Is the travel charger for JAQ3 also mini USB connector and compatible with I-mate Jam?

I bought it and sold it after two days at a loss of Rs. 8000.
I am back to my N73.
cons:
Very slow processor
browser very slow
Dial up networking profile not supported in bluetooth
When one receive a call other end hear your voice after 3 seconds initially then it catches up
camera captures blurry images due to slow processor speed.
Numeric keypad is not distinguishable until back light is turned on.
No urdu and arabic language support
You can not use it as a wireless modem with mac even with cable.
I recommend n73.

I had high hopes for this product. I purchased it in Dubai (I-Mate’s HQ?). It is true what they say about the processor speed. It is unacceptably slow. I have also had a problem with the stylus. The power button is adjacent to the insertion slot for the stylus. For some reason every time I slide in the stylus the device wants to shut down. I think that the stylus hits the backside of the power button and triggers a shutdown. These very significant problems aside, the form factor is ideal. Touch screen with a full Qwerty keyboard and WM5.0 is the way to go. I had to go back to my HTC TyTN which has a slide out keyboard that makes the device heavy and too thick.

i bought the phone and its so slow, it takes about 10 seconds to open inbox, also to open and move between menus. I have to say it is disappointing to see imate produce a phone that is good in design and function but lousy in speed. i had the jam and its much faster than the JAQ3. not to mention that sometimes the phone module switches off on its own and the LED blinking light goes off and takes two seconds to actually connect and hang up a call and also when u get call waiting, u can hear but cant see who for a couple of seconds.. i am really disappointed.

the phone feature overall is nice except for one thing, SPEED!!! It's too slow. It has the same processor as my sp5m. I also have an Imate jam and believe me, of all the phone I stil stick with my Jam. I gave my jaq3 to my GF. I'm not happy with it. My advice is that, if you look for a phone that runs applications and games fast then go for a pocket pc with and intel xscale processor like o2 atom exec or o2 flame.

i got this phone and the next day the phone module was not working(cant make calls). a restart fixed it, but the next day the camera gave the same problem. maybe i have to get handyswitcher to free up the memory? im not sure because this is my first wm5 phone. other than that it's a good quad band phone overall.

I bought this phone and sold it 10 days after. Its slow and has so many bugs and problems. I am really disapointed and had such high expectations... I am an i-mate user however if i can give you an advise: Do not make the same mistake... Do not buy it.

Just some kwoledge: The TI OMAP 850 200 Mhz processor is equivalent to a 416 Mhz processor, the reason why it doens't run games well is because it doesnt have a GPU build in, but it provides better power saving when running Bluetooth or WIFI.

I have this phone for about 2 weeks and my only regret is its slow processor (200mhz). I just don’t understand why they’d give such a phone all the perks and lack on the processor? Anyway, if you don’t intend to spend all yr battery power on games (slow processor cannot handle cool games), then I definitely recommend this phone. Its size is no issue, I slide in my jean or suit pocket and I forget about it. Just make sure you download a soft ware that allows you to switch off open programs from the main screen (ie. Handyswitcher) and those 200mhz will do the job.

No, not a copy of the sams i320... the JAQ3 runs PocketPC (not SmartPhone)... has a touchscreen, is quad-band and has several other differences... although, you are right that it LOOKS similar.

Can anyone please confirm whether or not the JAQ3 does support 850 Mhz Network (Cingular/AT&T)? (The "identical" UBiQUiO 501 does not.) Has anyone seen "850Mhz" on the actual device, box etc.? Thanks!
