Attention Orange UK customers, the I-Mate K-Jam (soon to be SPV M600) is not compatible with Orange line 2. The same also goes for the I-Mate JASJAR (SPV M5000)so Orange tell me. A bit of a let down for their business cutomers and a real oversight on the part of the Windows Mobile 5 team. Boo hiss! Show me the ROM update!!!

It's a Dual processor phone, thefore 195mhz X2.
Also, mhz is not a speed factor, an AMD64 4000+ processor for computers run at 2200-2800mhz (depending on which build you buy), however, the speed is as fast as a 4000mhz processor (or 4Ghz if you like), i.e. intel's brand of processors which suck.
In addition, a lower mhz rating and a dual processor, this phone should be better with power managment thus a longer lasting battery than other models, like the qtek 9000 which has a 540 mhz processor.

the TI OMAP 850 processor that HTC uses in this phone has an ARM core, not an Xscale like like the Magician's Intel processor did. If you look at speed tests ARMs run at around twice the speed of Xscales, so this phone should be about as good as the JAM processorwise (Don't like how we only get 64mb of ram though). For details on the OMAP check out TI's site

The reason K-Jam is not listed together with i-mate SP5 and SP5m is because they want to officially announce them on the 29th of September at the Dubai GITEC Exhibition and CITIA San Francisco on the 27th-29th of September

Very stylish design, but the major disadvantage is the slow processor speed compared to the new released pocket PCs of I-mate.Can somebody tell me why the K-Jam is not listed in the official site imate.com?

If K-JAM has the same function ability with O2 XDA MINI S then can anyone tell me if the Windows Mobile 5.0 which is the Software of the O2 XDA MINI S is the same as the Microsoft Pocket PC 2005 software of the K-JAM? if is the same thing why the GSM ARENA do not use the same terminology to avoid confusion?

It will look like the Mini s , it's an HTC Wizzard before it's badged by other manufacturers, like Imate, QTEK, Vodafone,O2,Orange etc. At 150g it's not a doorstop it's lighter than the Nokia N90 and it's a PDA with phone functionality not a phone with PDA functionality.
