i wanna to set aringtone of my sounds and

I got an imate from one of my friend. I need to install OS in it because it is not coming up.and has hanged...can somebody guide me where can i geet the s/w and how to install it..

Hi, would like to ask if anybody there who knows how to install the smart explorer on a smartphone via infra red coz i have trouble doing it..thnks!!!

To Reset the Phone(Re-Install OS,Make it Brand new!!!) , follow the steps carefully,
1. Remove Memory cards and switch off the phone
2. While holding the RECORD button and power it on
3. Now Carefully press and hold enter(center tap) through your joystick for 3 secs and let it go.
4. Now will you will see a screen with numbered options. Choose 8 (Erase IPSM) option. The phone IPSM will be flashed.
5. Go to the third page and choose END and hold power button to boot the phone. It will take time and may restrat once.
PRECAUTIONS:-
1. Save your Contacts, Important Information before resetting, WaRnInG all data will be lost...
The phone is now in OUT OF THE BOX condition......

To turn off airplane mode u just press the power button once and chose it from the quick menu. If ur power button is not working, u need to have a file manager tool like smartexplorer(check it out at arifagev.com). Open the app, go to windows directory, browse to QUICKAPP.EXE n open it. U will get the menu.Enjoy...... For Making ringtones and anyother quries mail me.........

Q;How to open from airplane mode to normal?
Ans;press quick menu button on the left side of i mate,you can see options there.If you want to quit airplane mode,select airplane mode if that is in airplane mode select ok.If you have pin number just enter your pin code.noe your phone on normal.

Dear friends,
hi, how are all of you?
I got imate smartphone last month and was enjoying but last night it was switched off for not return. :).now when i make it ON, it never goes on and display the only one display imate no main menu no any other activity. can anyone tell what happens with it? somebody tells me that its windows software becomes currupt so now reinstall windows in it.what do u think? if it so then how can i reinstall windows in it? tell the steps i can do it manually.i will be grateful to you.

I bought this phone a year ago although the features are good, you can add the features by installing the new softwares, screen resolution is good, browser is good. But I don't recommend because the hardware it self is not reliable, phone hangs often, joystick became problematic phone button color peels off, some times dont detect memory card. Has low internal memory. Battery life is awfull. Can't set mp3 rigtone.wmv player is jurky. DONT BUY THIS PHONE

Copy your MP3 file into the directory \Application Data\Sounds
Then it will appear in your sounds list when choosing a ringtone
