To oldman- since u have formatted ur phone im guessing that its a hardware problem. Im sorry as i cannot help u any further.

JAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK,please help.
my precious SP3 does not sound when i receive a call, neither when i put on speaker and i can't hear the file that i record but it works with vibator only.i can hear and speak to people only if i come to fill the vibration. i went to accessories then to clear storage and i put the numbers 1234 and i formated the phone to bring it to its original settings. noway the same problem persists. is it a software problem? if yes, how should i format my SP3? or is it a hardware problem???!!! please help.

Had the Audiovox (UTStarcom) version of this phone - SMT5600 - Thought it a great package complete with every feature one could ask for in a cellular handset. Spec, by today's standard, aren't top of the line, but, no slouch, neither. Unfortunately, reception for me was sub-standard. Had to exchange the unit twice. Also, the 5-way button is a pain in the backside when trying to push in to select an option. As a result, I traded it for the S-E w810. Pity... As I really liked this phone :-\

Im still not able to find it. Also I was not able to locate your email id in the posts. So could you please send me your email id or the link atlease. Also, I want to know the procedure to send ringtones via bluetooth. Kindly advise.

Thanks for the Reply. I registered my SP3 phone on the imate website. When I tried to visit the link https://www.imate.com/t-DEVICE_SP3_LINK1.aspx, i get a msg "This page is currently empty. Please check back again for an update." Games are the only stuff available for download.No software is available. Please comment.

u can transfer mp3 by the data cable.but to use mp3 as ringtones ull have to update the phone software. i have discussed before how to do that kindly go thru older posts and ull find it.

Mate as for 6630 and sp3 it greatly depends what u want to use your phone for.
6630 does not have good looks compared to sp3
the main feature i wuld say sp3 has is to organise ur meetings, tasks n stuff.
if u want ur phone for casual use then go for 6630 but if u want it for business or to have ur schedule organised go for sp3.
also sp3 is way cheaper than 6630...atleast where i live
