it is a nice phone in it is properties and it is shape but i have one problem.
I tried to put MP3 as a ringtone but I failed
if you can help me please help me.

Hi IMate Likers,

I am be very proud that I bought the I Mate Mobile. We can use the ringtone any of WAV files. The wave files is to be stored in the system memory and we listen to the ringtones what we like.

Can anyone please tell me how to send files via Bluetooth in Sp3 iMate. Cause once i select a file options it give me option only to beam via IR or Mail. But i am able to recieve files via bluetooth.

as i havent treid updating from there i cannot give any further help, jus follow the instructions.
As for i-mate users they can update via the clubimate website.

No idea on orange SPV users yet.

To Old Man,

Sound problem is a hardware problem. i m suffering the same problem with my imate JAMin. i also tried the format but it did not work. i took my phone for the warranty claim, they said speaker needs to replaced. wid my JAMin this problem just after 3 days of usage. Sorry to say you need to change the speaker of SP3. i m also using SP3 on replacement for my JAMin from warranty company.

JAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK,please help.
my precious SP3 does not sound when i receive a call, neither when i put on speaker and i can't hear the file that i record but it works with vibator only.i can hear and speak to people only if i come to fill the vibration. i went to accessories then to clear storage and i put the numbers 1234 and i formated the phone to bring it to its original settings. noway the same problem persists. is it a software problem? if yes, how should i format my SP3? or is it a hardware problem???!!! please help.

Had the Audiovox (UTStarcom) version of this phone - SMT5600 - Thought it a great package complete with every feature one could ask for in a cellular handset. Spec, by today's standard, aren't top of the line, but, no slouch, neither. Unfortunately, reception for me was sub-standard. Had to exchange the unit twice. Also, the 5-way button is a pain in the backside when trying to push in to select an option. As a result, I traded it for the S-E w810. Pity... As I really liked this phone :-\

Thanks for the Reply. I registered my SP3 phone on the imate website. When I tried to visit the link https://www.imate.com/t-DEVICE_SP3_LINK1.aspx, i get a msg "This page is currently empty. Please check back again for an update." Games are the only stuff available for download.No software is available. Please comment.

u can transfer mp3 by the data cable.but to use mp3 as ringtones ull have to update the phone software. i have discussed before how to do that kindly go thru older posts and ull find it.
