I bought this phone few weeks ago and content with my choice.Im a ringtone fan and tried downloading ringtones for this one...but most nokia/sony ringtones sound awful on this thing.any suggestion if im doing somthign wrong with sound setings or this phone just cant handle any fancy ringtones? also most sites giving imate ringtones dont suit my taste but feel free to sugest some.
lastly any idea of how u can change the operator logo?

i gave all the information with a serial# of my mobile but i got the permission to log in as guest only.

I m using this phone. this is the best phone that imate had ever made. bcoz i saw many reviews there but there was no major reviews abt keypad, joystick, color . I considered it as a best enetertainment, business phone although i like imate sp3i and i wished to buy sp3i but when i saw the review i was shocked. There are many problems in sp3i instead of sp3 eg. Joystick prob. Keypad prob. etc.

I have always used 6310i nokia & 2 months back when I wanted to use gprs & mms I got myself a nokia 6230i, saw this monster lying in shop the other day, checked it & the result is I switched it with 6230i & guess what? I think I made a wise decision which I wont regret

After comparing Imate and Nokia features, I have purchased an Imate SP3 yesterday. Imate SP3 is satisfying to me on first use itself. The excellent part is the navigator button, which i swear can beat its competitors far ahead!
But one missing MUST feature is "Group SMS" sending. There is no option for Grouping the Contacts/Mobile Numbers and send a composed message to multiple recipient in one click. Regular SMS users like me will find tough without this option. Or if iam missing on this issue.. some one please teach me how to!
I have connected the phone to my PC and every thing works mormally at first instance. The phone to me is Good! I will use the phone for 15 more days and post some more review on this phone. Kannan, India

for ( alex m ) : you can send files with bluetooth 1- active your bth. 2- from file maneger select the file 3- select send via infra.
the phone will send the file to any one open his bth. in range

i will be gratefull if someone tell me how to install windows mobile 2005 on SP3
btw ... i use (windows mobile 2005 beta) now
when i bought my mobile it was already installed
i have the source of windows .. but i don't know how to log in to the install process

I recently purchased an i-mate sp3 phone.
However when i receive calls, the number gets displayed in the format 1(753)234-5
I want the number to be displayed without any formating characters as 17532345. How is this possible

i think its a very cool and like it named its a really smart phone but dose it have copy all names from mobile memory to sim card or the other way from sim to phone??

Mp3 as a ringtone is not quite possible on the imate sp3. BUT if you make it a wav and and saved it as under "storage\aplication data\ sound" it works. Not more then 30 seconds otherwise it will not accept (to big). You can use cooledit fom cutting and saving as .wav
I also had the sp3 , now I own the Qtek 8310 awesome toy with build in wifi.

I think this phone is awesome. At times i do hate it because i cannot get jippi or download great ringtones but you get really awesome things freom the pc to your phone and you have the internet. So i think it's an ok phone more for business maybe i don't like it too much coz i'm 15 not into busniess yet. have fun choosing !
