Absolute junk. been in for repair bout 5 times. joy stick aweful and messed up my outlook during synching - lost over 500 names. Keep away!!!!!!!!!!!!

I changed from nokia to imate.. This imate is good phone,but as many other users already mentioned, the joy stick is the worst part of it. On second day of my purchase, it was broken, and came out. Now I use this phone without it. The dealer, when enquired, told he has to give the phone back for repair, and advice to repair outside..But unfortunately this is not a common one like nokie, hence, i could not get this done... I really curse me for buying this - Moving from in menu is nightmare now... Also, the volume of ring tone is very low.. And when the ring tone and vibtrator cannot be selected together.

Any questions give me an email. I have set up this phone numerous times. Lots of support if you register at clubimate.com. Operator settings, games and lots of cool other downloads. Can also get the firmware update there which enables mp3 ringtones and bluetooth file sending. Just ask, I'll help. It's a great phone. NB cool downloads at mobile9 too!

Joystick is the main reason I want to sell off this phone. Every time I use it I get in wrong menu. The menu is far from being logical.
There are two "More" in the menu that makes a user confused.
When the Alarm is on there is no indication like a bell on the display that confirms that Alarm is ON!
I am thinking to buy Nokia N73

1. Xphone I, II ( same as Imate sp3i ) always accept .wma file as ringtone, but not .mp3 when they were put into Storage/App./Sound
2. Dun let your battery turns empty, cos the phone wouldnt charge if battery emptied.
3. Paint and joystick cap would be gone easily,
4. The phone could be cold reset suddenly ( for me, once ) and all of data lost..
...
Otherwise, sp3i better than almost phone with other operating system. battery life is good.

I bought a sp3 i on july 27 after using it for 3 days the joy stick came out and answer key developed a crack when returned to the dealer he asked me to pay additional 4 80 for repairing sp31 though it is a good phone lacks quality and good dealers

I find it a great phone jus had it 4 days ago n its fine..can anybosy please tell me if i can make files from Bluetooth devices recieved in d Storage Card not d phone Memory..and also from where can i know the free storage space in d Storage Card..Thanks.

I've had this phone about three weeks and the paint is peeling off two of the keys. Apart from that, the phone is fine but the joystick is sensitive. Can anyone give me tthe settings for my MMS connection? Someone sent me one and I can't open it. Vodacom (South Africa) can't help. I also seem to have disabled the GPRS feature. How do I reactivate it?

Ive had the phone for a month now and i must honestly say. This is certainly class defined. This is really one of the most elagant looking cell phones on the market. I am a sony ericsson fan and will die one, but i was absolutely seduced by the sp3i's luxurious looks. Any suggestions on sending using bluetooth? Shaheed, SA.

mp3 ringtone : put mp3 ( or wma ) files into phone memory at the directory App. Data /sound.
you should try to use .wma file instead of mp3 files, it'll work
