This phone is - ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING.
The fact that the paint plakes off the keyboard within a week is outrageous. The joystick is a nightmare too. Beware also, when using Internet explorer, be sure to end task, through the task manager function, otherwsie you will end up with a 24/7 Inet bill for the month.. I did and it was v nasty. Fragile phone too.. with regard to screen and the devide - comonly creeking and feeling like cheap shite.
Anyway.. back to the arena for a new fandangled mobilous stylous.

Can someone tell me how to set up a functional network on the SP3i? Each time that I try to send a photo via email or MMS, I receive a network error message. I am a Cingular Wireless customer in New York. thank you

Bought 2 months back, initially impressed me, joystick such a pain and not easy to navigate, finally I lost the top button of navigator and could not find in anywhere, can some body advice me where I can buy all sp3i accessories “Key pad, Navigator button, casing with screen” plz help me at tausif_77@yahoo.com.

I read Khalid's reply to Adriaan's inquiry regarding sending information via Bluetooth. As I am a new user of SP3i, is it possible to send photos via IR? and where to obtain Smart Explorer.

I love it! I really like the mobile phone keyboard rather than the PDA 2k slide out one.
My only issue is that the Internet browser (IE) does not accept sites that use frames. Does anyone know how to fix that?
Other than this... functionality is excellent for me :)

I had my i-mate sp3i for 2 days and it is broken... Be very careful when buying this phone. The durability of this phone is pathetic. My screen cracked without me dropping my phone or any irregulars. This is not covered by the guarantee and i now have to fork up R800. ($125) The scroll button also do not respond sometimes. I would strongly urge you to consider a other phone.

Yes seems to be a good phone, but how do I turn the speakerphone on? This is surely one of the most NB features yet it seems to be hidden.

Can an sp3i user explain the key lock to me please. This is really important as I need to know if the phone can be locked with a security code and how easy that is to do.

I hd one for 6 weeks but grew frutrated at a number of things.
1. The joystick is a nightmare.
2. Keypad locking is a pain but if you don't do it, the phone operates itself in your pocket.
3. MP3 player is ok but because of the joystick, hard to navigate.
4. GPRS stays on once initiated. It can be stopped but the manual doesn't tell you how.
5. The paint flakes off the keypad.
Generally I was very unimpressed with the phone and have exchanged it for a Nokia.
Anyonce considering buying this phone should research the imate website - their forums are full of complaints.

i am currently usin nok 7610 and wanna change to iate sp3i..eventhough i havent seen the fone i am vey muchimpressed by its features and one of my frenz told me its cool..the only thin i am worried is the cam of the fone..can anybody plz sent me some fotos n videos taken usin this fone..i wanna chk the clarity of the image.plzzzzzzz

Very Cool phone.. just got it last week.. has every option you can imagine in a phone, i cant think of anything it doesnt do compared to another phone.. fairly easy to use and nice and small.. my only concern is that the OS does weird things like saying its out of storage when i have 500meg free on the miniSD and sometimes the menu's dont work and i have to turn it off and back on.. sometimes when bluetooth is on, the phone shuts itself off.. only did that once but it was strange. But it is microsoft windows after all and we all know how reliable that is :)
