my uncle bought me an imate sp5 fon.. and everytym my classmates send me a song through bluetooth, it says something lyk the memory is not enough (though my phone memory still has a LOT of memory).. what'll i do.. can somebody help me.. juz email me at daveeldonraven@yahoo.com

when i transfer the songs from bluetooth, i could not receive them on storage card memory. could you please let me know how to get them to card memory

I find the i-mate SP5 to be a good phone, but the gprs settings is a big problem. i've been trying to get the setting for weeks. can you please just sort that out.

I've a i-mate SP5. But the problem is my GPRS is not working anymore I cant even browse my internet. Can somebody tell me what is going on or send me settings to re-activate my internet?...Please!

i have a SP5 and i have a problem, the thing is when i get songs on my phone from other devices it saves on my phone memory.So when the memory is full, it doesnt give me the opinion to save on a memory card? if anyone can answer me, holla back

Can anyone tell me if the Bluetooth is stereo (A2DP, I think)? I only v1.1, and I'm not sure if that's it.

i have a sp5.im even on it right now. the thing is i dont understand why so many problems. a carpenter should never blame his tools if the couch came out wrong. i use mine for wireless printing,email,spreadsheets,word docs,movies,mp3s,basically most things and i have found all the support from the internet. both software and hardware. i guess not all people are meant to own an imate. but if u do its not a pc nor jus a cellphone. its a smartphone. guess if the user isnt smart enough to use it then dont own it.

Hey ppl, bought the phone 2 days ago, and I am happy with it so far. Camera is not too great, but then I did not buy it for the camera. If someone could just clarify for me what the maximum size memory card you can use in the sp5 I would greatly appreciate it. Is it SDHC compliant? Thanks

Skype can work without using a wifi connection.
skype will be working on the gprs connection, which is limited in bandwidth.
so if you login on skype using the gprs and make a phone call using skype, the voice quality will not be the best, and call drops might take place.
i recommend a phone that has a 3G for making call using skype

to format the windows on the SP5.
visit wwww.clubimate.com, register your phone by using the serial number on it.
choose device support, then click on the sp5 phone icon. you will find all the software support for this phone, including the configuration for your gprs service provider

The Blue tooth on SP5 is not for file transfer.
just for a modem connection between a PC or laptop.

well, eventually the register on the phone is not large enough, so if we have several programs installed. ie " google earth, skype, and any other thing", you will find a message that appears advising that the memory is not enough even if you have a 2 Gega flash memory.
The way to solve that is to make a backup of all the contacts on outlook, and a backup for your messages using netcool prog, and format the windows on this mobile.
once you install the operating system, install just the prog you really are using, try to avoid big application, in the end remember it is a phone not a computer :)

What a crappy phone. I had one for about a year when the problems started. At first it gave messages that the phone is running low on memory and I had to delete messages which I did with no success. One can not use the phone until you respond to the message. Then it started vibrating and the only way to stop it is to remove the battery. I contacted my service provider and they said to bring it in. As I am staying 200km from the service provider Altec Autopage, by the way also worst service ever received, I could not do it right away. One evening as I was in the shower I heard the phone that was on charge on the dressing table starting to vibrate again. Before I could dry and reach the phone I heard a sound and the phone was quiet. Yes it fell of the dresser as it was vibrating the whole time. I took it on the 26th September to Altec Autopage Polokwane and explained what happened and and that was the last I heard except for the three times I have called to inquire and the one time I went in person. On the 12th of November at about 17h15 someone called me from the repair department of I presume Altec and said the cost would be in access of R2600.00. I asked but was it not supposed to be a guarantee repair and she said there was physical damage to the phone. I again explained and she again said the guarantee do not cover the damage. Now how ridiculous that a mobile phone fall of a bedside table and the damage is in excess of R2600.00. What else could it be that a CRAPPY phone and even a crappier service provider.

HELP !!
I recently put my sp5 on flight mode and turned it on and off several times. Now every time i turn it on it shows the homepage but will not respond to any of the keys (except earpiece volume) The keys appear locked though there wasn't a keypad lock before that.
please help me, reset code (hold camera + plug in usb) is not helping at all either..

I needed to know, while recieveing files from other cellfones on bluetooth, is it possible to make your storage card the default locations for storing files.
cause my cell sp5 stores the files on my phone memory, which has run low. and therefore i am always unable to recieve the file, if it exceeds some capacity.
2. the second thing i would be very happy if someone can help me out is. if i want to reformat my cellphone and install windows mobile 5.0 again, whats the way to do it.
