its a good phone, with good wi-fi capabilities and good features. also the screen is one of the best around. one of my friend has it and i'm buying one soon too. though if there is an update for the windows version for sp5m . it might run into problems as windows does not support direct hardware configuration as done on the dedicated ie and music keys here. but a new update on the sp5 seems unlikely, so i think it is a trivial problem. the rest of the phone is fabulous and thats what matters ....

Hi All,

I really like this phone and planning to buy it. Can you please suggest me whether I should go for it or not. Please advice me coz I cannot afford to have another phone after buying this (if it comes out to be a crap). Help me folks....

Yes Its Possible to Read & Write MS Office Files on Imate SP5m. For All This Issue U need to have "Documents to GO" software from any known website like http://www.handango.com

i have has this phone for a while now and it has not given me any problems...its a great phone...i also own a sp3i but this phone is much better!

would like to buy this phone, but i can't find it in the market here in Bahrain, i also tried Dubai, i like it because it has a wifi, and also you can install skype, and still look like my SP3 phone which i used it for two years now

When you rate the functionality and the performance of this phone, rembember that it depends on Microsoft windows CE OS. thus, a lot of the drawbacks you have all described are because of the OS stability. using a sophisticated device and OS has penelities. I recently purshased this phone and I like it very much. it looks fine. And its screen is big and bright with vivid colors. When u look at this phone, you instantly feel its value. Its processor might be a bit underqualified for windows CE robust applications and multitasking. but it ok considering the its price.

i have just purchased i mate sp5m and it was a great expieriance with it but suddenly one day i was driving on bike and it has ring. i had take out it from pocket and it slipped out of my hands. not its whole body was destroyed and infrared port and ir glass damaged. and i don't have any idea from where i take it for service.

I have just bought a imate sp5m.
It suddenly hang It cant further proceed from startup windows "Windows mobile"
I have restarted the device,put the battery off but no use.
How can I start my mobile?

Hello.
Today they stolen Qtek Sp5m SDA from my.
The phone is good.
But why they don't put some security like.
When someone stole it from you then it can be tracked.I has run becouse there have some person when the phone i see that is not there,and i go throught one person to Medium Barcelona but from Big traffik i lost him.And for that will be good if someone put this becouse that is bad i pay 300 euro to get this mobile.And they too can make for example then the phone have a Sim Card to send a e-mail where is.And to be saved it the Ram where it can't be erased.

And now who will return it to me.
That is for now.

I just bought this phone. I’m facing problem that my screen is scrambled when I receive a call. i can't identify that who is calling me. It display only garbage.

I have been using it for more than a month. And am in love with it. No doubts, it is not perfect, but then i have yet to see a perfect phone.

For locking the key pad, you need to press the end button for a few seconds, and the keypad will lock.

To use MP3 as ringtones, place your mp3 or wav files in the SOUNDS folder, which you will find in APPLICATION DATA folder on the root.

Maybe i am lucky, but my phone never required a reboot in the last whole one month, though i use GPRS a lot. The battery is reasonable but not poor, as with bluetooth, wifi and a brilliant display, one should not expect a battery to last very long. The comfort for me is that i can always connect it with my PC usb, and it charges alongwith.

I am disappointed in this model. You can not search contacts as older model SP3, nor can you insert the name or tel. number when you write a text message. The phone now is at the servise centre for 4 days, just bought it a week ago. I do not if this can be repaired or not.

I got this on t-mobile in the UK under its guise SDAII. They have put windows mobile 2003 on it instead of mobile 5 which dissapointed me a lot. Anyone know how to update the OS? Or any good websites that talk about it and give advice on how not to destroy your phone?

I can recieve SMS messages but can not send SMS text messages. Error is can not send your text message. I do not know where to enter Message center details which automatically used to get set in Nokia message profile. Can some one help me? Thx AK
