Is i-mobile really copying Motorola? or are they the ORIGINAL manufacturer? dig a little deeper, you'll find some interesting things. ;)

i-mate should work hard on design and stop copying others. Another thing is that there is no option of infra port, wifi, edge or 3G, user wants functions not only mobile windows Operating System.

I like the phone, but just cannot accept absence of 3g, edge or wifi, plus lousy batery time(at least declared) and questionable keyboard ussage will probably make me turn off from this

i realy like the smart i-mate spl.
because its smartsness & his keypad.
this is first time that like this smart phone have reach features.
1.his ram capacity.
2.his memory. etc...
over all this is the best.

but can anybody tell me if pocket office can be installed on this hand set.....Looks like an amazing sleek, sexy set..but I must admit, it does look like a rip off from the motorola designs

if go to the imate home page and read the specs you will find out that this is one of the best smartphones available.
with the ecu3, the latest update for windows mobile 5.0 you get push mail & best of all A2DP stereo bluetooth support!
the camera of 2.0 mpixel is a bit outdated comparted to the 3.2 of the nokia n73, but otherwise the windoes smartphones are way ahead the symbian os nowadays.
i just bought the nokia n73 and compared to the qtek 8310 i also have it is much much slower, the symbian has not kept up with the graphics demand and freezes all the time, low memoery issues, very slow, and developers have given the red light to symbian s60 ver 3.0.
For example to look for a name in contacts on the a smartphone you just type the letters once on the keyboard, compared to the nokia or other phones which you still have to type 3 times the key 6 to get the letter "O" for example.
and many other small things...
so i think that once you try a smartphone you stick to one even though they are not at the very hi end of the technology camera wise.

so why imate company making a phone without microsoft office, i think i will not go with this phone its like other phones what the difference at least others has better camera and sound quality, i dont know what they are thinking to make like this phone

This phobne is simply a slv with windows... but how reliable is bthe windows package on this ultra slim phone?? will this phone just cause more issues and software issues then good??
