could any body help to provide the linke to download of software of this phone because neither i can call of receive = i m sure it needs to download fresh softrware or updating of it . thanks

Hi ,I would like to know if there is some way to chareg the i-mate by cumpueter becuse i have lost my charger so I need somebody to guide me to get anwe charger or to get way to charge my mobil.

sorry for the late response...here it goes,based on my experience...when you hard reset your i-mate 8150,your i-mate will ask a question answerable by i think if its yes or no..sorry i can't remember the right term used..anyways, when it is turned on..just pick the answer NO,DISAGREE or any words saying NO..then,wait for your i-mate to install and that's it!

I have owned the imate Ultimate 8150 for a while now and the performance has been great, with the 6.1 upgrade and the SPB shell supplied free from imate it runs smoothly and without problems. I have not experienced any dropped calls on either tmob o2 or orange and signal strength is good.
Regarding some of the issues people are experiencing. I bought my imate through an authorised retailer and received a full retail box with software cables phone and documentation. The documentation was in English which is the regional standard. For those of you who have foreign docs can I suggest in future you buy a product from your region or expect translation problems when you do need to read the manual.
As for the device resetting to Arabic or whatever language other than your own native tongue, again can i suggest you buy a device from your region with all regional languages installed.. I bought mine in the UK, it has English OS and docs. I have never had it change language on me and when I do reset it, it always returns to English.
I love the build quality but feel that since the HTC devices have come out (this is 2yrs old) it is very bulky in comparison. The screen is great but the trade-off for the VGA res is a lower battery life. There is a good variety of connectivity options including BT, WiFi and VGA out.
I charge my phone every night with heavy usage or every few days with average usage, I believe this is a result of imate using a lower than required capacity battery, though others report wireless using too much battery but apparently this issue was resolved with the release of WM6.1.

I bought this pocket pc 2 months ago,and i also encountered the same problem about the language settings.it happens when you hard reset your i-mate 8150 or in other words,when you restore its factory settings.but guess what guys? I know how to change its language back to english!

I'm also stuck with the same problem. Unable to go past the pwd screen as my pwd being alphanumeric, the onscreen k/b shows only NUMERIC keypad and likewise, the sliding k/b is not accepting alphabets!!!
any solution? I wrote to imate.com, but no response!
