JR, when I talked of underpowered cam and video I was referring to the fact that camera phones need 3.2MP to produce printable photos. 8150's 2MP is substandard. Secondly to produce clear smooth videos one needs VGA resolution at 30fps.

To fuNg:
Hi, What do you mean by underpowered video and camera? Poor display quality, jerky playback, can play only low res low bitrate videos, other? Please tell us more.
Thanx a lot.

Is it just me, or does the color of this phone look cream or slightly gold. I even looked at the you tube spot on the 5150 and it looked kinda gold. Just wondering what you guys think.

8150 and 6150; what's the difference? Note the video and camera are underpowered in all i-mate models. Why bother including them if the spec is not up to contemporary standards. This phone is no longer just a PDA, it is a multifunctional convergence device, and YES, GPS has become a consumer crave. Can i-mate afford to ignore it??

Well...we seem to have gone from 94mmx50mmx11mm to 118mmx60mmx18mm or about 150% larger than originally reported.
Still not a bad looking phone and it's certainly nice to have a decent screen with a physical keypad. But my wallet's going back in my pocket on this one. Too bad.

Really I've ever waited and hoped to see a mobile phone like this(i-mate 8150).This one will for sure fulfil a part of the kind of mobile I hope to use soon.

Well, if you compare 8150 with 9150, dimensions make sense - 8150 has no flip keypad and thus is thinner... But all this is just useless speculation, better wait until it's released and see for sure...

I just don't belive the sizes 11x50x94 is possible but if i-mate can not market the phone at this size this will be a big big problem for the image of brand.

To Nxsf: In South Africa is going to come as usual at least 1 month late after official release in US, & then anyway it's going to be cheaper to buy from US (check on ebay.com)

"It lacks the good camera feature" - sorry to diss but WTH is wrong with you? It's a PDA hybrid. If you want 1337 uber MP count go buy a camera (or a clue).
To others who don't like that it doesn't have GPS, buy a lanyard and a mini bluetooth GPS dongle or better yet stop being douches walking around staring at your phone LOL.
Meanwhile I'll be happily browsing at 1.5Mbit in VGA, watching some sweet quality streamed video and playing a bucket load of ROMS from all kinds of systems blah blah blah - might even find some time for some calls in all that ;)

It lacks the good camera feature.. anything below 3.2 mega pixel is a real disadvantage. what would the price of this package, the looks is very nice, but the features! will they be enough for the usual high price of imate phones

What the hell are you lot on about? Windows Mobile 6 has Pocket Word and Pocket Excel just like Windows Mobile 5 has. These applications have been improved on Windows Mobile 6 but not much!
