can you put games on this. please tell me fast about to get new phone
So you guys can confirm that the phone has gps navigation receiver and doesn't need an extra device to behave like in-car navigation?
I knew they were for sale in singapore and australia, now it looks like there in uk
Hi, I was wondering how is the call quality and battery life on this phone. Can someone who owns this phone please tell me?
Hi SteveJ, I actually did a simple review on the device in the www.ppcsg.com forums. you may want to check out the thread there and you will get more info.
have tested the 9502 with tytnII in playing the same WMV file on the same TCPMP player. the 9502 did not encounter the sluggish play back or laggy or jerky but the tytnII does. but please take note that i run the test with different programs loaded on different devices.. I cant afford to hard reset both devices and just to test the video play back.
I do not know if the VGA drivers of the 9502 have been patch or not, but so far i have install quiet a no of softwares and do not really experience any lag unless i run multiple programs at the same time.
Give me sometime and i will test out more things on this device. If there anything that you guys want me to test?
It doesn't have gps navigation.
It has gps positioning. They are two different things.
And the processor is 400mhz afterall.
But if you don't believe me, buy it and find out yourself
Hi All, Telstra are launching on 25/03/07. Confirmed today. I work very closely with them and have had my order confirmed. Watch this space....Less than a week to go! I hope it's worth the wait.
Which planet is Lekki from? Planet Pluto or perhaps even Planet Misinformation??
Knight how about giving us a detailed review on this mean machine. Are the video drivers enabled for 3D graphics acceleration?? GSMArena come on! Let's have a review!!
I double confirmed what imatemate have mention in the earlier post. I am using a imate9502 on my own and the phone does come with a built in GPS receiver and using a 400mhz processor.
I own the ultimate 9502
It's performance is exceptionally good.
SDHC.777 patch will enable SDHC support on this machine, there are already people using 8GB SDHC cards on it already.
Yes it is Qualcomm MSM7200 processor but it's video performance wins the Tytn II hands down.
Using TCMP and DivXhtcdriver:
Divx., FLV., 3gp., Mp4., Ogm., AVI., and even Video CD DAT.files play well on th ultimate 9502.
GPS will get a fix in under 2mins if you are not moving and not undercover, when using any kind of GPS reciever, you should get yourself fixed before you start moving .... If you are already in a moving vehicle and can't get a fix that's not the fault of your hardware. I have used the Eten M700 with sirfstar GPS and it was really good. The GPS on the ultimate 9502 is equally good, if not superior to that of the M700.
I have seen the Tytn II and it's video performance
"Sucks !!!", There is a terrible issue with the driver support on the Tytn. It is also very ugly to look at.
Sorry for that ... just my opinion.
To the preople who already have one, how is the battery life? TyTn II claims about 240hrs standby. 9502 has larger battery. But I know one person with a 9502 and the battery life is absolutely pityful. With very light usage, lucky to last a day. So how are you finding it?
Dude, don't spout trash.
We are talking about gps navigation.
What the imate has is gps positioning. The same service you get when you call the operator and ask where you are.
That is why I said that it doesn't have gps.
Because what people are talking about it the kind of gps you can use in your car to get you from point A to point B.
I was wrong about the processor though.
This phone seems to be a wonderfull phone but cout i get the contact number for where this phone is sold or any other i mate products
Lekki I brought the ultimate 9502 for more than a week and i am held it in my hand now and telling you it has integrated gps and 400mhz. The man at the store is cheating you or he don't know anything at all. So........."If you haven't held the phone, don't give false information" don't mislead others. Thanks
Here is a link to the i-Mate 9502 specification sheet dated February 8 2008 on the i-Mate web site.
It states the device has an integrated GPS, and an 400 MHz Qualcomm® MSM 7200™ processor.
Lekki, you are talking rubbish. I live in Singapore and owns the 9502. Read the specs and understand what you are talking about.
The phone has an inbuilt GPS receiver which locks on fast. The processor is the same as TyTn II (Qualcomm 400Mhz). Check out the forum pages (eg. www.ppcsg.com) and you will see that there are no complaints of bugs so far (unlike other phones like TyTn II, etc).
Don't be fooled by sales people who have an agenda and pushed for phones that bring them higher commissions, etc.
And they don't use the same processor. The one in the store has a 500mhz processor.
If you haven't held the phone, don't give false information.
The salesman at the store told me I had to buy a separate receiver for it. I asked him for a device that had both wifi and gps and wasn't a nokia and he showed me the tytn II not this phone.
