To tawd and Andrew
Reading microSDHC is an important point. And I haven't seen I-Mate claim that it does. The only thing that makes me think it might is that it seems to use the same chipset as the Kaiser/AT&T Tilt. A lot of a device's functionality/capability derives from its chipset. It may be that the hardware for the memory card reader is driven from that chipset, so you might expect it to be the same as the Kaiser in this regard.
But I'm not sure.
If it turned out it couldn't read microSDHC, it would be a big let down.

To the guy who said that the 9502 does use microSDHC...How do you know? There are some sites that say so eg pdadb.net, but I think this mainly assumption.
The imate site says only microSD. If it was HC wouldn't they say so? It would sound better and maybe get even more interest.

the only thing i see wrong with this perfect phone is that it doesnt read microSDHC. it would be perfect if it did. that way it would hold more memory for multimedia things.

Handset start-up Mobinnova lands smartphone orders from i-mate

Daniel Shen, Taipei; Steve Shen, DIGITIMES [Wednesday 24 October 2007]

Taiwan-based Mobinnova, a start-up handset maker that reportedly has strong connections with Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry), has landed smartphone orders from Dubai-based handset vendor i-mate, according to market sources in Taiwan.

Under the contract, Mobinnova will manufacture two smartphones, the Ultimate 8502 and Ultimate 9502, for i-mate with volume shipments to begin in the first half of 2008, the sources noted.

Both models will be built on Qualcomm's MSM 7200 platform and Microsoft's Windows Mobile 6 OS (operating system). In addition, the two smartphones also support GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a QWERTY keyboard.

Recently, i-mate switched its orders for smartphones from High Tech Computer (HTC) to Inventec, Arima Communications and China-based TechFaith Wireless. However, some models developed by the three contractors have been delayed, forcing the Dubai-based vendor to team up with a new maker, according to market sources.

It appears that Mobinnova has been following the steps of HTC in the development of high-end smartphones based on Windows Mobile OS and chipset solutions from Qualcomm, and that the company is set to compete directly with HTC in the near future, the sources asserted.
