harish, 22 Nov 2016waste mobile..heats very fast..battery drais soon So true... I got mine from globe and it always heats up!!
If your battery drains too fast, the reason may be a particular app or a system process using the processor constantly. Today I faced a similar issue. I left my phone at 85% battery while going to sleep. In the morning it was 34%. Almost 50% drained while just lying on the table.
I checked what caused the battery drain in Settings > Battery.
There was a process named MediaServer which has taken 60% of the total drain. I googled regarding that.
One solution was to clear the data of Media Storage in Settings > Apps. Go to all tabs and select Media Storage from the list. Clear data and force it stop. Then reboot your phone.
Once you do that the media files like photos and music will not appear in the gallery or music player app. They will not be deleted but loose their refereces that the app use to access. After reboot the media files should be scanned and appear in the gallery or the other apps. If it does not happen in 10 minutes of time then you will have to manually start the scan. This can be done by opening a photo or a music in the file browser. (I had to restart again to make the media available in the apps.)
This imporved my batttery efficiency back.
For those who your phones laggs too much even to use basic task like calling a contact and opening messages:
I found that to me this happens when I use or recently opened Chrome browser. I cleared data of chrome and forced stopped it from app settings. Now I use Opera browser for internet.
And I felt that Vibe UI is causing some lag too (I'm not sure if its true). I installed Google Now launcher. Is pretty smoother than Vibe UI.
Try you max not to use any widgets. Better run one messenger in background and restrict others to launch in the settings.
Comment if it worked for you so that others can benefit.
Anonymous, 13 Nov 2016Heats so much i cant even play music while surfing the net eg chromeChrome has been too heavy on my phone. Made my phone to hang a lot which was irritating. Then stopped chrome and installed Opera Browser. Replace the Vibe UI with Google Now launcher (from Play Store). Its faster now.
Abhinish, 29 Oct 2016lenevo A6000 phone is hanging up much & consume more battery .......what should we done? In my phone, Chrome and Viber are the apps makes my phone hang. So I stopped using those two apps. I use Opera Browser which is smoother than Chrome. Still there is lag, but far better than before. Not sure about this but I felt that Vibe UI is one of the reason for the lag. I replaced it with Google Now launcher (you can get it in Play Store). It seems to be more faster than earlier. Find out which app causing your phone to hang and try not to use it. (Facebook seems to be little heavy but we can't live with out it. Can we?) Comment if it worked for you so that it will be helpful.
Using for 1.5 years and loved it. Sound, performance, battery.. wow..
Coming to solution for problems reported here.
Issue is the quick battery drain and heating.
Solution, Go to battery consumption. If media server consumers most, just delete videos with mkv format in ur phone. Or, update to lolipop. U can also try putting a nomedia file in the particular folder and restart.
Else, great battery backup, fluent working.
Not suitable for multitasking. Concentrate on single work. Example, Sending file with Xender or SHAREit in background and if u open any ram consumung apo, it hangs up until one work is get done.
Audio quality increased a lot and nice interface are only pros.
Solution for issues,
Hanging. Disabling Google photos, making WhatsApp, fb, messenger restrict to launch will avoid hang. But still not fast like KitKat. But usable.
U guys know that flashing stock ROMs is easy like eating a candy in this phone?
Go to droiddash blog and download lolipop or kitkat based ROMs and u can easily update or downgrade with stock recovery.
Fed up with laggy lolipop? Downgrade to kitkat.
till today my phone was good.bt from afternoon am nt gettng sound in songs nd calls also
Heats so much i cant even play music while surfing the net eg chrome
Actually I bought lenovo a6000 new phone at oct 2015, but at dec 2015 itself my touch didn't the I done a service by warranty.
But from the start day itself my mobile getting hang, I don't know what to do.
Battery is not a problem when I turn off the mobile data, but if I turned on the battery gets down within 3 to 3 and half hours, if I saw videos even in offline the battery dead in before 3 hours
Whenever I turns on my mobile data my mobile hanged more
If I asked the customer care they didn't respond properly
Sometimes the mobile data didn't turn on by click on icon from the slide down menu on screen
Sometimes the enabled Bluetooth devices are not shown
The device is working very slowly even to load a contact, to see the last dialler , I have to wait for minimum of 2 to 4 minutes.
Simply said as lenovo a6000 is not fit for use, it just to keep on showcase
Guys don't think about a6000 at the same time I don't know about any other model u can check with others
I specified only about a6000 not any other
