please update your device. marshmallow arrived on Indian version k3 note.
I bought this phone new set at RM469/USD114 in Malaysia and satisfied a lot. I flashed international ROW ROM to replace Chinese Vibe ROM. Performance and quality are above expectation & its price tag. No native 3G video call is not a big deal, can use Facebook video call. Fair enough.
I used Lenovo S650, S660, S850, A6000, and this K3 Note. All are satisfactory.
Got a6.0 update but it didn't start to download so hv to restart the phone but after restart its not showing update. Any idea what to do

K3 Note in INDIA received Marshmallow update. OTA Update size is 1657 MB
I am using Lenovo K3 Note music edition in India. Bought a week back as a replacement to my broken Sony Xperia Z1 compact as I am waiting for the launch of Sony X series in India. Though on paper the phone has all the features of an expensive phone but after using the same, realized the shortcomings of the phone and I guess Lenovo brand of Smartphones. Below are my experiences:
1. Though has 3000 mh battery, does not last even for the full day. Needs constant charging. Charging is very slow. Doesn't charge on car charger.
2. Hangs although has 2 GB RAM and has the tendency to heat up.
3. The biggest drawback is the SAR value. THE SAR IN LENOVO SMARTPHONES ARE VERY HIGH THOUGH THEY CLAIM THEY ADHERE TO INDIAN STANDARDS. THEY HAVE SAR (radiation) OF approx. 1.54 as compared to established brands like Sony, Samsung etc. which have SAR of less than 0.5.
This results in headaches, pain in the ears after longer use. I guess thats the reason why they are cheap. Couple of years back I had Lenovo P700 which I had to dispose off in a week of purchase, as it had high SAR. Both me and my wife complained of headaches while using the same.
4. Touch works haphazardly, if use for longer period of time.
I have decided never to use Lenovo Phone until they come clean on SAR values on their smartphones.
If any one has similar experiences using Lenovo phone, please share.
