My phone didn't come with a usb or data cord to hookup to computer. Purchased from a Cingular store. Visited a few stores and attempted to purchase from web. Where can I get one?

This phone can vibrate without the ringtone. Just go in the function volume for ring tone and arrown down to where the phone just vibrates. LG did a good job with this phone, they just need to tighten the phone when unflip.

Hi yall, ok good point on the fact that LG made a phone that even though works amazing and has very little bugs its still rather poor in features or not as advance as other models coming out. Here is the reason... If you get a 3G phone is usually if you wanna use 3G services which we charge (NOW YOU MUST HAVE IT IF YOU WANT TO EVEN ACCESS THE CV FEATURE) the feature is 19.99 a month so how many people can afford to pay and extra $20 bucks on their bill? not many? so why make a phone that will cost 300 bucks? and then cost you 20 bucks to service a month? this is where lG has gone with it and were all manufactures go toward when making phones for the USA. 3G is new here and we want people on it, this phone just works and it was everything you might want on it, yes the features that it has are not the most advanced version IE the 1.3 mpx cam but for example going up to the now current 3mp cam will bump up the phone at least 100 more dollards so all and all this was a good choice, if this phones keeps working the way it is then LG has a winner in the USA market end of story...

According to Cingular this phone is a dual-mode HSDPA handset, 850Mhz-1900Mhz.

Very nice, this will definatelly be available on Telstra!!! New UMTS 850 network to be released in October 2006!!!

My problems with the lg cu500 are
1.you can't choose what phonebook to use the phone memory or simcard it shows both.
2. There is no security option for the phone to lock itself. So you have to enter a lock code after a certain amount of minutes.
3. Can’t turn off voicemail notification or command notification without turning off all ring volume.
4. Sim code request when the phone reboots it does not work, it says invalid smart chip

I have used 9 gsm flip/slider phones in the past year, and this one is the keeper.
if you didn't buy this phone for the 3G capability then please dont post a negative review. if you dont live in a test market, then you might consider a different model if you want more toys. This phone is excellent. excellent mic/speaker, full-duplex speakerphone is great.
FAST. In cingular's Phoenix test market when using this phone as a modem, i was downloading at over 1,000kbps. The only problems i found with this phone are that the usb connection is non-standard(not mini usb), so you must purchase this cable. also, the wap browser does not allow frames, but browsing other sites is silly fast. oh yeah, the mp3 player and loudspeaker is a winner, but its not why i love this phone. i love this phone for the voice clarity(thank you hsdpa)and the speed(hsdpa). i hope this helps.

Hope this helps!

This is one of the best phones i have ever owned on the cingular network, I own a Nokia 6270, and when it came back from warranty repair i still couldnt go back to it, the Cu500 has extraordinary reception and is the first true 3g handset on Cingulars Network with hspda. The phone comes with the Shazam music id software built into the phone which eliminates the dialing of numbers to id a song. What that means is the phone can identify the song name and the artist by activating it and putting the phone near the source of music. this phone helped me ID a song that i was trying to find for ten years off of a techno mix i had, for music enthusiasts this phone is a must. I dont like that it is not how swappable with the transflash and i dont like the fact that you cannot assign an mp3 for incoming text messages, other that that i love this phone and believe that LG has released a V3I killer in the US market.

hope i could get some help, i happened to realise this hp's 3G (HSDPA) speed is different from other HSDPA phones. Is it true to say that the speed is different among different phone models?
another thing i would like advise on is the phone's video recording capabilities, what is QVGA quality? I've heard that video quality relies on something called FPS??
Would appreciate all e help i can get.
Sorry as i'm really clueless about this

this phone is a rip-off from the samsung Z540. Only the design is more ugly than the other phone is.

these type of lg phones seem to being going sideways rather than forward why only 1.3mp camera without flash,no radio and exact the same in looks as u880 and u890 the u400 is a totally different look to the sliding phones that are clogging up the market, maybe they could of done something different to the flip market alas not with this one though.

The LG 3G/HSDPA series has always kicked a** over the Moto RAZR.
They are extremely well designed, though the specs are fairly low. It took them only ages to integrate a card slot...

Well done though, HSDPA here we come!

I got this phone when I was away on vacation. So far I have had no problems with it. The volume is loud (which I like, you don't have to set the volume all the way up. The camera in my opinion is clear when it come to picture taking (eventhough I don't use it that much). For someone who is a gadget freak, I like this phone better than my old Razr. LG did a good job with this phone.
