Basically, there are two ways of getting ringtones onto the F1200. MP3 or MID files both types of ringtones can be obtained from various sites on the internet.
1. To transfer MID ringtone files onto the phone. You will need to use LG Mobile Agent to to do that. There is a limit on the size of the MID ringtone file - 50 Kbytes. Max is 20 MID files. Basically, you need to start the LG Mobile Agent and set the default MID file directory to where you have stored your MID ringtones on your computer and transfer them to your F1200 that way.
2. MP3 Ringtones it much easieras you do not need to connect using LG Mobile Agent software. You just connect your phone to your computer and it will recognise it like it is 'USB flash memory'. But before you can access the 64 MB memory on your phone. Don't forget to enter the access pin - default is "0000" or else you cannot download anything to your phone.
Hope this helps.

//////HOW TO PUT MUSIC ON F1200\\\\\\
-The programs supplied do not work, but they are not used to put music on the fone
-Install the programs and drivers from the CD
-On the menu screen on the fone, got to "My Stuff"
-Go to "Removable disk"
-Enter your security code (If you don't know this, a number will be in the manual)
-Once the new menu appears, go to "Data transfer"
-Connect the phone to the computer, using the USB cable supplied
-On your computer: Go to My Computer. THere should be a removable disk there.
-If your computer doesnt reset, simply copy your music into the drive.
-When you are finished, press "Exit" on the fone
-Remove the cable from the computer.

I dont know what the fuss is all about ? I bought my phone off ebay (new) and took a little time to work out how to get music on it ( use a mp3 converter like DB power amp to convert music )and it has been faultless so far ... Great phone !!!!!!

LG F1200 could have been a better phone, but mine keeps on shutting down like hell, in fact I withdraw better, the phone is nonsense. LG should stick on producing sound and music player systems and leave the phone industry to experts like Nokia.

Hmmm I bought this phone on the Internet last night for quite a good price considering. I should have in a week or two.
I hope that it works, especially after reading these comments.
Perhaps I should have stuck with Samsungs..
Also, it is really as big as it seems?? The phone, I mean.

I had that problem when I brought the phone. The solution is simple, it will only recognise picture size 96x96. for photo call and phonebook.
