I purchased this LG1800 one month back. I too have this empty folder problem. However it solved when i recorded a long conversation but came back when i formatted the drive. also battery drains within 30 hrs irrespective of usage.Can i get flash software from internet and install it myself.

just i bought it one week back.
Itz a good phone.
I too have the same problems, low volume and empty folder.

hey does one have any idea whihc other handsfree goes with Lg G1800 and has good sound quality . i have increased the volume of the mp3 player but the soudn effect is nto that gr8 cos of the low handsfree quality. please let me knwo , if any other handsfree goes with this cell. i think Motorola E398 handsfree goes..Please suggest sumthing...thanx newyas...

Hello! Mr. Rahul...I think dat u cant read the manual properly! or else may be u dont understand english! Anyway there is no private drivers CD available but the OS u use shud b latest that is it shud b higher version than SP1. -Vignesh (9860131515)

Hi, I've bought the LG G1800 after reading all your comments on this site. I'm happy with the phone but I've got this empty folder problem that everyone is talking about in sound recorder. Neither am I able to create a folder in file manager under D:\. Did I make a wrong decision in going for this phone? Somewhere in this site I also saw that you can update the flash file yourself. Where to download the flash file from and how to install it? Or is it worth visiting the LG service center rather than going through all these hassles. My work doesn't allow me to go after these things. Pls help;

Well its been 20 days with my new LG 1800 and i have found some glitches in the phone...
1.While using the T9 mode in writing sms i found that there is no button to get an alternative word/next word.
2.The screen can hardly be seen outdoors.

The Empty Folder problem is not solved by the Master code for LG G1800 is 2945#*#. I have done Nand Flash. Please help.

Hi again,

You can set the volume of speaker to the maximum. Follow the same steps as you followed for Headset. Just change your mode to speaker mode.

Its a good fone.I tried out increasing the volume of headphone. it works. can somebody tell me,how to increase the loud speaker volume for hearing mp3 songs? please help.

Doud mp3 is what u listen through head phones so use your head man, u know there is no phone like this in the market, a basic phone with 64mb memory, folks this is amazing and r getting a free data cable and headset in unbeleavable price, this is some thing realy different and practical.

Hi,
If you want to increase volume of headset just follow the steps provided here..

1. Type *#3646633#

2. Engineering Menu will appear..

3. Follow this path -->
Audio -> Headset Mode -> Melody -> Volume 5.

4. Increase Volume 5 to 206.

5. Press back.

6. Press back.

7. Set Parameter to yes.. this will save your setting.

8. By pressing back come out of engg. menu.

Now, listen song through headset.. you will really rock..

Thanks Sumit for your seggestion to increase volume.
I am giving some tips, try it on your own risk.

1. The Master code for LG G1800 is 2945#*#
You can do almost everything with this code.

2. The Problem 'empty folder' occures when you format the drive using inbuilt file manager. This changes the default file system of the Phone Drive. This is the same case with Sound Recorder. Flash your phone to recover this problem.

3. Best phone for GPRS Internet connectivity through PC.

4. You can do more thing using *#3646633#

5. This phone does'nt suport downloadable Java games.

6. This phone comes with self charging USB cable for Internet access using GPRS.

7. You can Record unlimited using Sound Recorder.

8. While on call conversation just press MP3 side button, to record conversation.

9. All drivers(For WinXP, Win2000, Win98) are available on http://in.wowlg.com just select the phone model listed there.

hi
i brought this phone a month back i liked this phone overall but i just faced one problem
the mp3 volume is very low and the sound of the ring tone is also down. can not hear the sound when in the crowded area. so have to compulsory put on the vibrator mode.
can any one solve this problem
can any body give me suggession of how to increase the volume of the mp3 and the ringtone.
