GloBaRR, 27 Apr 2016For more than 2 and half years I was killing this phone daily 'cause I used it as my "work" ph... moreI have been using this phone for about 2 years as well. But in my case, the battery drains so fast nowadays, I have to recharge it twice a day even though I'm just a moderate user with wi-fi connection almost every night. On my first month after I bought this phone, my 5 years old kid dropped it from the chair he sat on to the floor (about 1/2 metre high) and the LCD just cracked right away. So I think it depends on your luck, whether you get the good product or the bad one.
G6 user, 07 May 2016yes lg wants to laugh on Samsung support and devices but ... what they don't look at is on the... morei would have loved a 6.0 pdate as 4.4 and 5.x where shite but reality is its 3 generations old and they cant update endlessly.
It would have bin nice if phones would get stock nexus roms when they were end of life so they atleast benefit from a important updatelike 6.0 and is faster then remaking the enture interface.
but if you think the g3 and g4 will get a update in 2 years your also mistaken its just the major flawof android.
That why i buy a nexus next time (unless its made by samsung haha)
rimial2, 07 May 2016I totally agree...it's not fair from LG to exclude the G2 from further updates. It seems that ... moreyes lg wants to laugh on Samsung support and devices but ... what they don't look at is on the poor update support provided I feel really terrible knowing that older devices with less power got 5.1.1 as its last update .. I don't have a problem with 5.1.1 being my last update but I have a problem with a buggy 5.0.2 left on this device newer by moths and equal in time with other wich got 5.1.1 wich same google recognize as stable in front of 5.0.2 /..... for me 5.0.2 is compared to the slower and power hungry 4.0 version and 5.1.1 similar to 4.1.1 .....

hey guys we must send e - mails to lg asking for an update due to they left this device with a buggy 5.0.2 and it is not fair ....the same google knows that the software has issue so lg didn't want to update the phone to 5.1.1 but the slower and older s4 from sansung did .... what a shame.
this OS and UI are the ones that lg should have left on our phones ... but they decided to put a horrible limit on 5.0.2 that buggy and crappy system that has issues ... thanks lg ...thanks for the slow camera performace ..thanks for the w-fi connection issues .... I really appreciated ... also the stupid optimizing apps message some times I restart my phone ...... lg u cant say that the sd800 cant run 5.1.1 on lg G2 if is able to move it well on this tab .. ihave nothing against the tab but I have a lot of things against u as the company because u don't respect your customers lettings us to know if our device could be elegible for an upgrade instead you are aging the phone intentionally for then to say that it is just too old to be updated ....too old ...f ####ck even a slower s4 got 5.1.1 and being this faster than G3 is not getting anything ... if no 5.1.1 atleast then ill be moving to other place then don't cry for customer moving to another companies because you are the one leaving options open to people so don't cry for a bad quarter ... don't effort in expesive pr if no body will buy your devices since u have left them abandon .....
Masomenos, 02 May 2016Yes there is official update over the Lg official sofware. On my D802 lollipop work fine. I ha... morethat's the main reson I feel disappointed on G2 camera after 5.0.2 update .beuty interface and performance but camera has an issue with autofocus and exposure , it keeps focusing and either catching more light or fixing focus .... this makes the camera laggy and most of the pictures gets out of focus ....blurry puictures ,,, wich makes me feel angry due to a mini version of the phone does a better job in low light .... any way if u want to love your phone in every single aspect then use kit kat ..... battery is better , has nice plug and pop that was removed , and better than that the camera speed is decent camera works as I should be if u choose the IA mode u notice that it freeze the action like on the tv comer .... if u are a G2 user and u don't care by much interface then select 4.4.2 and u wont be disappointed ... I do not recommend customer roms why ... well performce in cm 13 gets better amazingly better but audio is too low that I though that the audio profile was set to silent mode and I don't like that ..... and yes this is due to lg has not provided their audio drivers ....cheloz / cloudy / ndm are good but has too many bugs that u end flashing again a stock based rom ... cheloz rom is really buggy , cloudy rom ended boring me due to processing issues with camera and low camera sound ,,,, cloudy g3 rom has issues shuttering launcher I always keep my phone with apps running 1 at time so im not multitasking guy ....ndm is the worst due to ugly navigation buttons and when I say ugly is because they are really small I don't know why rom makers set this a default .... I don't have tiny fingers ....

mohsin, 01 May 2016is there an official lollipop update for lg g2 and how does the phone works after upgrading to... moreYes there is official update over the Lg official sofware. On my D802 lollipop work fine. I have root on my phone and I removed few apps. Battery life on lollipop is like on kitkat on my device. But the camera app is slow I am mad that they didnt fix that. Overall experiance is the same maybe lollipop is nicer to look at. I red that 5.0.2 is rubbish but mine works just fine with no lags except the camera. Maybe you wont be that lucky maybe you will.
mohsin, 01 May 2016is there an official lollipop update for lg g2 and how does the phone works after upgrading to... moreThere is, unless you have the Canadian model. That one didn't get official Lollipop. It works... about the same? Some people had problems with the update, some people experienced no problems at all, it added few new gimmicks, removed other gimmicks (the hotplug tray or the wireless storage for example). It gained few thousand points more in antutu, battery life depends on your usage patterns and your luck with the update (I suspect most of the famous update issues were caused by faulty processes of some legacy apps installed on the device going haywire and causing overheating and bad battery drain)
is there an official lollipop update for lg g2 and how does the phone works after upgrading to lollipop plz rply positive and negative points after upgrading
This is one extremely faulty phone. Specs wise it is great, design wise great but after a few months of owning it you'll get touchscreen issues out of nowhere, even when you pay a $100 dollars for a new screen it gets damaged after a few days. I'm never buying an lg product ever again
my g2 is on android 4.4.2 and im facing touch issues it works fine but sometimes does'nt responds so updating it to 5.0.2 will solve my problem or i have to change the touch
I have seen great reviews for this set. But poor luck for me..my set has all-round problems starting from touch to battery..overheating issue is unbearable
this place is a world wide forum for G2 and another devices ...I have a question for all of u included the gsmn arena team ....when did lg mobile division released a 5.1.1 D802 40A as a software update ...... I was able to send an e-mail on lg Italy site , an one of their reps told me that current android version is 5.1.1 .... xd how is that possible ... she said that because I was able to send an attachement with a 5.1.1 leak picture from last year posted on a web site ..... so or are they preparing a 5.1.1 update or that laidy doesn't know where she is standing up ... I hope specially you gsm arena could ask to them since g flex 2 is a forgotten one too.
For more than 2 and half years I was killing this phone daily 'cause I used it as my "work" phone: html coding, ssh, image editing, wrote 12 projects on it, supported 22 social accounts, made tons of calls, mails and txts and this thing keeps on going. Oh, it fell more than dozen times, hard. Few scratches and that's it. However, a month ago G2 was replaced by G4 DS (H818), but this (yes, I'm writing this comment on G2) phone is still in the house (my son, 3 years old, is using it). Still fast, clean, with awesome battery life (which I can't say for G4).
This is the best smartphone there is. Fan of Nokia 6310 is telling you this!
