I AM VERY DISAPOINTED!
It's been less than a year since I've bought my H815 and now the motherboard is gone (broken) my phone also suffered from Display Pixel Retention which was very annoying and battery life dropped signifacantly for the last 4 months.
So even though great performace and stunning looks overwall reliability is very bad.
Thums down for LG!!!!!
I just acquired the canadian H812 G4 through Koodo. The hardware is nice, it's snappy and responsive. However it turns out the FM Radio is missing. Koodo pretends it's the manufacturer who chooses to deactivate it and the carriers have nothing to do with it. Also it's full of bloatware you can't uninstall and it's missing some android features I used to enjoy with my Moto G. I will look for another phone that has all the basics.
I am using LG G4 modelH818T..its a fantastic phone..superb battery..excellent processor..so attrctve diaplay..perfrmnce wise brilliant..nice connectivity..i m enjoying..
loophole13, 07 Oct 2016I liked the phone when it came out, but it's riddle with issues. Overheats and sometimes won't... moreYes just happened to me. Also with my previous lg g2 same issue. Sales person for Sprint told me that its a common problem for this phone. They are replacing my G4 for a G5 let's see how that goes.
I liked the phone when it came out, but it's riddle with issues. Overheats and sometimes won't boot up correctly. My second lg g4 died recently and my mom is on her 4th lg g4. The boot issue is still affecting a lot of lg g4 phones lately.
[deleted post]Everything is 'fake' for you.
You kept saying the bootloop issue was 'fake'
Then you said our G4's were fake
Now you're saying users themselves are fake?
I had this phone for 9 months before it went into a reboot loop. LG told me to send it in for repairs which they would pay for. Imagine my surprise when I got an email from their repair company asking for $655 and LG said that I would have to pay it. Brutal phone and even worse customer service.
I've been using this for more than a month. Hence it is not a long term review. However few pointers for potential buyers:
1. Great performance. Fluid.
2. Has more than 1gb memory free at any time.
3. Battery lasts a day easily with 2 mails sync(off & Personal), whatsapp and a lot of calls, Net browsing, you tube and saavn. But you will have to charge it every end of day. However the phone had excellent standby.
4. Excellent screen.
5. Loud speaker volume, though not htc class in sound quality but louder than htc one m9. Bluetooth connectivity very stable and clear for calls.
6. Powerful hotspot.
7. Fantastic natural sounding music through my sennheiser.
8. Most important - exceptional Reception of signal and great call quality. In my case out catches 4g at a place where htc and BlackBerry failed.
9. Best camera I've seen till date on a smartphone (i've seen Apple iPad air, 5s, samsung s6, j7, one m9 and BlackBerry z30), back and front.
10. The phone gets a bit warm with games like angry birds our plants vs zombies. Haven't tried other high end games. But that happens with most of the powerful phones per my experience.
I bought a htc from eBay for about 18.5k which got conked off in a month and the seller provided me lg g4 as replacement.
The risk of boot loop is there. It also doesn't have fingerprint scanner. Os is efficient but you'll not get a lot of themes. So launcher is the way to go. Overall the phone it's very likable. I thought off writing this cause I didn't plan to buy this but landed with it accidentally. Next time onwards I'll definitely keep lg in mind while buying a smartphone.
LG G4 is a great phone, but beware of the bootloop issue plaguing this phone. If you are planning on purchasing one, I recommend confirming the manufactured date of the phone first. You would want one that was manufactured as recent as Sep. 2016. I think a way to confirm this is by looking at the first three numbers of the Serial number of the phone (found in the battery compartment area of the phone). The serial number for one manufactured in Sep.2016 should begin with '609' (not 100% sure, but you get the idea). I hope this helps.
I would NOT recommend this phone. I have used LG once before, with the LG g flex, and loved it, but this phone has been a disaster.
The battery is absolute crap. It dies quickly and charges slow. It gets super hot with very little activity, so hot that I couldn't keep a case on it or it would quit on me (which is dangerous, because I'm very clumsy).
And just a few weeks ago, it died on me entirely. It was fully charged and I was messaging back and forth with a friend on Facebook and all of a sudden it froze, then went black. I tried turning it back on but it would not move past the startup screen and got so hot that I could no longer hold it.
So I filed an insurance claim and got a new one, everything new except for the back, and I'm starting to experience the same issues after just a couple of weeks.
I usually hear good things about LG products, and maybe this is one of those rare outlier cases that doesn't happen often, but it happened to me and I've had absolute hell with it. Again, I would NOT recommend. I'll be switching away from LG as soon as possible.
I used g4 for about 10 months and my phone(serial number 505) having bootloop issues. Sent back to LG. Waiting for my phone to get the motherboard replaced. I have another issue whereby the screen often suffers scfeen burn-in issue. And its pretty serious. Didnt manage to capture photo of it. Happened few days before bootloop. Its quite serious that it has obvious ghostly images overlapping with each other when using the phone.
Guys please read this i need your opinion!
I recently sent my lgG4 for a screen replacement covered by the lg 2 year warranty. My old screen started peeling off the phone just a bit near the front camera, but other than that it was all good. When i got my phone back i saw that the new screen they gave me felt a lot different and cheaper. It was not as bright as the original one i had for 8 months, i compared it to several other LGG4 screens and it was lacking in brightness and contrast, it reminded me more of an LGG3 screen! Also, the screen cells where view-able in the sunlight, even though my old screen was pitch black at all cases.Other than that, the resolution and dpi of the new screen are fine. When i took it back to the lg service shop they told me that this was normal and that they could do nothing about it. I thing that i was given a much cheaper screen than my original one, but i cant find any way to prove that the new screen is lower quality than the original even though it obviously has lower max brightness and contrast.
I have a LG G4
It automatically turns on and turns off the mobile data while using wifi. If any one is having the solution plz help.
Ak, 05 Oct 2016All those putting negative comments for lg g4...i dont know wats wrong with them..
It has one... moreYeah me too but its okey cuz im using 4200mah battery which i bought from aliexpress so battery issues was solved
Hope there will be update to fix battery life on. Marshmallow
the rear camera (16mp) is excellent but front camera (8mp) did not satisfied me. is there any solution to improve it? i did not find any option in the phone to upgrade it like in other phones in factory setting it is 3mp then manually upgrade to 5mp. Next, while recording video the sound has noises and how can i fix this problem? right now i'v upgraded my phone to marshmallow and it reduced the battery strength than previous but runs 1 day.
All those putting negative comments for lg g4...i dont know wats wrong with them..
It has one of the best camera and best screen till date.
Yes there are battery issues.. For that they have given spare battery also... Which is better than using long lasting battery...
And if you want decent battery life then dont upgrade your phone to marshmallow.
Keep it to lollypop only.
I had marshmallow and the battery life decreased terribly.
Also the default call recorder has been removed in marshmallow update.
So keep your lg g4 to lollypop and enjoy... Marshmallow sucks.
But lg g4 still one of the best phone in market.
Some sheep and pets are trolling, that all G4 have boot loop problem, Actually only batch No 505 to 507 single sim version not dual sim version(never have) have this problem due to folty chipset of Qualcomm, for further information check your country's LG mobile site
Don't listen to trolls Have a nice day
