Lg has come up with Lg GD900 the latter stands out for its 8 Mega pixels Camera and especially its transparent sliding keyboard which it derives its name for. Crystal enjoys the latest technology in mobile telephony, but not necessarily exploited optimally. The phone's design plays on transparency, with gray shades and finally pure black color which derives it to a very simple product. The finishes are more than correct, with small buttons and mechanisms of aluminum, enhancing the look a bit classy and solid.
The sliding keyboard leaves no signs of disrespect and which is very pleasing to the opening and closing. At the opening, it glows gently revealing the laser-etched keys. if i'm not using my phone (so the screen is displaying nothing)when i receieve a call the screen stays blank, when i slide the phone up this doesn't answer the call. I've got the phone set to answer on slide but nothing. Can anyone explain why the screen doesn't light up when i get a call ??

But I just saved all my datas and contacts . . ., installed the last update, and did a factory reset (1809#*900# then factory reset, be careful, it erase all on your phone) and everything become good ;) and more responsive

warning - this cell phone has a design flaw. the profiles will become mixed up (they will not corrospond to the one you set them to and the profile names will be mixed up). i'm on my second lg gd900 with the same problems and i have heard the same from results on google. really disappointed seeing as how i love this cell phone minus this fundamental flaw.
do not get this cell phone!!

I discovered that this was something good for the phone as it saves your battery, when you put the mobile close to your ear the light switch off automaticly and far from your ear the lights returns, try it your self, its actually something good not bad, i felt stupid when i discovered that:)

I just bought Crystal last week, best mobile ever, i love it and will recommend it to all my friends, i compared this model with other Samsung and SE before purchasing, they r not even close, this mobile have everything you need for best quality.

> In reply to hmm @ 2009-10-15 02:01 from PPhFyeah i went on youtube and watch a ton of videos of both this and the samsung ultratouch and i think i will have more fun with this, going on youtube and watching all the different videos helps me out more than reading all these posts. this crystal looks like i will have more fun with it than the samsung s8300 so im set to buy this tomorrow

Why Crystal is better:
- crystal is at least 3 or 4 times more sensitive (touch).
- crystal looks better.
- full querty keyboard (the way it should be, on a touch phone) i can almost type as fast on my phone as my keyboard.
- crystal has wifi, which i use alot. but really only depends on if you use it or not.
- you can customise everything, Ultra u can't change the 'hold' wallpaper.

Why Ultra Touch is better.
- camera (really good compared to the crystal)
- price

But in the end i only paid a extra $50 which to me is more than worth it. you can really see how much better the crystal is when you have both phones in your hand, as i did.

i've said this before and i say it again, the Camera on the crystal is very dissapointing.

Innov8 vs Crystal, i'll say keep the Innov8 (lil sis has one)unless you really must have the design and looks.

I am now on my second one, the first kept freezing and this one also freezes and switches itself off from time to time. This can be a real pain when tou are txting. I am now not sure weather to get anothe ror just go for the new chocolate. Any advise would be appretiatet...

my problem solve after removing the screen protector.. if that the case, i think you better go down LG service center to change a new one.

i removed screen protector but still faced this problem..any other solution???pls......

i hv solve the problem of the blank screen during incoming n outgoing calls.. there is a small round opening between the camera and the ear piece on the top right hand corner. the opening is not to be block.. juz remove the screen protected on the screen to in order not to block the opening.
