> In reply to Anonymous @ 2010-01-26 12:43 from utk1 - click to readHave you tried the CX300 or the newer CX300II? I saw a sennheiser catalogue when I went to buy my philips. I've noticed 2 variants. One is the ordinary model and saw another one which was stated as active or sports series or somethin like that. The first one costs about 3.8k MRP and the latter one costs even more. It was tempting though.....

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2010-01-26 11:28 from utka - click to readYeah maybe... but with the differences taken into account, EP-630 offers more value for money than the CX300's. I havent tried the CX300 yet and my time with an EP-630 had been too brief to make any judgement. EP-630's are good for it's price but I still think my SHH9700 is more balanced that the EP-630. The highs are too harsh and can sometimes be quite annoying.
Anyway.. it is a good option for starters who are looking for a good IEM to replace the OEM headsets.

> In reply to Nevin Jospeh @ 2010-01-26 06:59 from PB75 - click to readWell i haven't came across a single fake philips earphone till now.... same goes for sennys. Yes there are many shops that sell fake sony earbuds, the fake sony earbud you ordered from ebay. Its available for 300rs(fake)...the ebay guy sold that for 1100 bucks. Like you said you cant trust ebay...atleast ebay.in.

Here there are some shops that sell only genuine stuff....they got philips, sony, creative and senny IEMs.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2010-01-26 06:34 from utk1 - click to readI once heard a rumour that all the Creative EP639's , Sennheiser CX300's and the AKG K324's are fabricated in a single factory in china. This was the reason why i was a bit hesitant in buying the CX300 from eBay.

And mind you, you cannot get a pair of CX300's even if you pay 1000 or even 1500. It is that expensive.

> In reply to anonymous @ 2010-01-25 19:04 from utN5 - click to readWell.. its a very wrong notion anyway... A good earphone means good noise isolation and very little noise or unwanted irritating sounds.
So in short, all you get is good music and not all the eztras. it is the noise which actually causes harm to your ears when used at high volume levels for prolonged periods.
A good earphones (the more expensive, the better) gives good noise isolation so you don't have to turn up the volume to mask external noise. This means, you can enjoy your music with all the necessary details without inreasing the volume levels.

I mentioned EP-630 just as a comparison of price difference between Cochin and Mumbai.

Never heard of Creative EP-630?
Its a legend, but ignore EP-630... It doesn't stand a chance in front of other brands now. Search google to know about it.

Has someone connected to internet using this phone on his desktop/lapop? Are working drivers for Xp / Windows7 readily available?
Please share your personal experiences.... I'm thinking of buying this phone but want to ascertain it first that internet connectivity on my laptop will be hassle-free.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2010-01-25 16:48 from vNtx - click to readPerhaps you fail to understand that GM200 is a music phone and a good quality earphone forms a vital part of any mobile music device. We are not discussing about which headphones to use with our ipod nano... We are discussing about what is good for GM200.
