hi i have been using this phone from 15 months. it isn't good at battery backup, i had changed battery. but, there is no big difference in standby time.
now the problem raised, to start my phone, on holding the power on button it shows 'ke770' start up and it starts the screen to go on and off, and it continues until the battery is over. what might be the problem? how can i again use this phone to its extinct? even, I lost my contacts in phone and couldn't retrieve them..

can somebody tell me what is the special feature of this SHINE phone's camera? it said that this phone have an auto-focus cam and Schneider-Kreuznach things..

This phone is one durable phone, I've drop it like every day and there's no major damage, just small dents (Which is okay with me). The reflective screen is nice and the slim profile is also. Buttons are easy to use but the bottom keys might start warping and stick out. Power, volume, and MP3/Camera button are all on the right side for easy access. The metal finish on the back is really nice. It fits easily in your pocket, but you might mistake it for an iPod. The screen is pretty tough even without the screen protector, it took me a good minute to get a decent scratch on it. Texting is easy once you have mastered T9, but the drawback on it is that you can't send messages containing pictures or music, and you can't receive them either, even though there's an option that says receive, T9 may also messes up when you try to type smilies, and when you try to type long words or words not in its dictionary, but you can add new words to the dictionary. Your inbox may messup sometimes and not display what is actually in the text in the preview, this also applies for drafts and outbox. The display on the phone is relatively small compared the the screen. Call quality is pretty good also when its one speaker, you can conference (3-way) too. Picture quality might not seem so great on the phone screen but once you upload it to your computer, its pretty decent (2MP), the album might take some time to load if you got a lot in there, the flash also serves as a great flashlight in dark areas. Video quality is alright, its not good, but its not terrible, sometimes the phone shuts off completely when you try to enter video mode, which is annoying, and once for me, all of my videos got corrupted (Video would only show one frame and play the audio of the video sped up) somehow but was fixed when I plugged it into my computer. The contacts list or phonebook can hold at least 90 people (Or that's just my SIM card), you can have a picture ID included but putting one on is a very complicated process. Your contacts may also messup when ever you receive a call or text (It will show the person's number, not their name, but I found that this can be solved by putting a 1 before typing in their number when you add a contact. It can hold a micro SD card, but I'm not sure what's the highest capacity it will recognize. Web browsing and related features won't work for me, probably because I don't have a plan for that. It seems to be that you can connect to different networks (AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, etc.) with the same SIM card, but I'm not sure if that works, I haven't tried it before. There are about ten languages that you can view the system software in; English, Chinese, French, Spanish (I think), and many more. Bluetooth works fine, but you can't send pictures to the phone (By computer), although you can send pictures to the computer. A simple but effective lock system appears after ten seconds (Default option), it requires you to press the left button then the right, the on-screen instructions make it seems more difficult that it is. Included ringtones are alright, but you would probably be better off with your own ringtones. Though you can change the ringtone, you can't change the message tone (The tone that plays whenever you receive a text), there are only four default ones. Included games are fun for a few minutes but get boring as you continue playing.

I got a good battery life.

And the phone looked pretty cool.

some cons i have experienced:

When sending SMS, the phone sometimes doesn't display if the message is sent, and if sent, it doesn't register in the sent items. If failed, it doesn't register on your outbox.

The phone sometimes stops receiving SMS. You have to restart your phone when you noticed it.

If your keypad pops out, its very frustrating. Even a superglue doesn't work.

After having this phone for about a year:
Pros: size, mirror screen, mp3, camera options
Cons: always froze/turned off when I tried recording videos, texts in the inbox start appearing out of order and even multiple times when the sender only sent once, the up/volume up side button stopped working, slow to save new contacts

I will probably not be buying any more LG phones after this one and after hearing friends' reviews of the LG Shine.

da fones network is the worst ive ever used . it doesnt even work where other brands work just fine.

d phone's battery is a crab.....it jus works max 2 max 4 1 day without using any multimedia...nd d keypad is da worst...it jus cums out nd bends like anythng...

to LG can u pls make an upgrade of this fone? same looks but, Add WLAN, longer talk time, 16M colors,8MP camera,with videocall,3G...if u will upgrade all of this , this fone will hit the market!

This must be craaaap-ist phone in the world. if only it worked half as good as it looks. i've thrown it against the wall plenty times but i regret that it has not broken. i'm going to flush it down the loo...

Pros

>Extreme Level of Sound & Clarity (I pod like) in Headsets via 3.5mm audio jack. (if used with high quality headsets(default headsets also gives impressive output))

>Good Camera Quality in 2MP Range

>Call features (Call Hold, Retrieve, Conference. Go through almost all menus while on call.

>As in Title It's Shine. very Shiny and very flashy look. much much better than black plastic dull looking Nokia and other phones.

>very Tuff! i almost drop it everyday. no scratches.


>Right Side 'C'/'End' Key convenient to end call directly while on call and end all functions.

>Useful Flash.

>Front Speaker (Allow u to place phone on surface)

>Lost Mobile Tracker

>Multi Functional Calculator (has sqrt,cos,sin, etc.)

>Installable Games & Apps (Google Map Works)



Cons

>No Themes

> No Bluetooth transfer while on java, or playing song.(no minimized transfer) & Bluetooth V 1 so transfer is slow. no saving directly to memory card. but has much memory(45 MB) internal.

>Low Battery. 2.5 hrs of Music Playback only.

>No MP3 Message tones.

>Only Loud MP3 Ringtones is suitable for hear sound in all conditions. (Like Left Right Left ringtone)

>Display is shines in sun light and problem in seeing.

>Sometimes got hangs when goto My Videos

>Flash gives only Light not Flashes while taking Shot.

>JAVA Restrictions.

>Gets much hot after long call or long music playback. (considerable heat)

Tricks/Info

>Press Camera/MP3 button to Minimize Music Player

Music Expireance and Super Eye Catching Style makes all cons fade. I like this phone

No offence, but ive had this phone for two years now
And Im so relieved im getting an upgrade.... ITS A PIECE OF JUNK!!!!!!

I must admit, at 1st i loved the phone, but that was just based on flashy looks. The hardware and interface is horrible! The internet is remarkably slow and the resolution sucks! Google fails to load 80% of the time and almost all apps ( even ones from sites made for the phone) crash or dont work in the 1st place....

Take it from me.... DONT BUY IT!
YOU WILL regret it...
Please I am trying to help you... no matter how flashy it looks, Avoid it
