LG KE850 Prada - user opinions and reviews

LG

Engadget (tech website) got their hands on one of these phones and have said that it was an absolute nightmare trying to typeweb addresses into its browser. The word they used was "Nasty".
Assuming this is true and even if you don't plan on browsing with this phone it doesn't bode well for you "texters" out there !!

If it didn't have 'prada' on the top part of the phone it would look even better....

To Alex:

Lol how do you think you write messages on it ? it has no external keyboard, so it's the only way.

I currently own an O2 XDA Exec which is beyond great...but I cannot wait for this phone to come out. It will be quite an addition to my smart phones.

Does it has a querty keyboard on screen? I thought only Apple's Iphone had that.

Right, well from what i've heard working for a mobile phone shop there is a querty keyboard on the touch screen. So its looking quite good for the moment, we'll see when we get one in....

Some of you people have obviously never heard of STP ~ Segmentation, Targeting, and Positioning. It's painfully obvious that the Prada Phone was not intended for the same consumer segment as the Apple iPhone. Nor was it developed to position itself in the mass market against the iPhone. It comes branded with the "Prada" label guys... right off the bat you should know that it is a premium, fashion, NICHE phone. Jeez Louise.

if hand writing recognition is included, it would be a killer, LG, think about the Chinese market!

I think this phone is using the same operating system as the LG shine.
If you read the opinions on this site for Shine owners I can see that this phone will have many annoying faults, mostly around ring tones/alerts/MP3's. Some Shine owners even having to remove the battery and replace it to be able to turn the phone back on.
Come LG, ensure these niggles are not applicable to the 850.
Its available on 22-Mar.

almost perfect, but like the iphone falls at the last hurdle. They should have used the Nokia N95 as a benchmark and included 3G, a 4/5MP camera, quad band,a multiband world radio (FM, MW, SW, DAB), and a good quality video recorder. It would have then wiped the phone with all other phones out there and i would then have bought one...i'm not buying one as it currently is!
