Well, this mobile does not support Java, i feel cheated really, i had so many softwares i was looking forward to install on this phone, but it does not have JAVA Support.


i contacted The LG service centre dudes, they said KG 300 does not has support for JAVA, sorry!

This phone is really great . It has all the capabilities and functionalities which may have in any high rang phone . I really thank full to LG

in Thailand version.

call record up 40/40/40 list (total 120)

can use Mp3,AAC,MIDI as ringtone .... but limit only 5 songs!! (with defult 20 tone/song).

can use different picture/video/ringtone per to any number (MUST save list to phone)

limit member group to 5 (No more!!)

Thank you very much!! =D Thats it, this will be my choice then! Haha. I was confused, this phone being so packed full of goodies, yet under ringtones they only state polyphonic.

Kinda made me worried that such a feature packed phone will lack such an important capability.

I need to know..

Can this phone use mp3 as ringtone? For me this is very important. Its like a make or break criteria for a phone.

It costs about $298 over here in Singapore and sure, the reviews look and sound good.

But for such a price which does not support mp3 ringtones...i would invest my money elsewhere. Narrow-minded i know..haha.but its individual preferences

Everyone says "install the Java update" or "download it and install it" But How & Where ??? Has anyone *actually* done it?

I suspect none of the members on this list have a Java enabled handset !!

FANTASTIC Phone for Rs.8900/-.All the features in built which i used to download and for my Nokia 3250.
the best part is you can record live Fm and the video can be rewinded and forwarded ,battery back ofcourse not as good as nokia but you will have to compromise something to get all other fantastic features and contacts sync aslo not easy

Hi Royce, you can record one videoclip till the capasity of ur TFcard runs out. the maximum capacity of transflash suported by this phone is 2 giga.
Hi rianman, due to the current firmware limitation, it can't support java installation. or you may try download the java soft by wap and install it directly. thx

well i simply cant understand what exactly u meant to say...
can u please elaboarte it more..
i mean i hav contacted the LG service center and they dont hav any such thing like "ENABLING JAVA"....
if java has to be there there needs to be a java option in menu like in other LG phones...
on going to options when we come across any .jar files it shud show "install" option like in other LG mobiles....
but this one doesnt seems to show any of these symptoms....
and on other side many other mobile sites claim of this phone having java MIDP 2....
but the lg site doesnt.
PLEASE CAN SOMEBODY ENLIGHTEN EXACTLY ON IT.......

I recently bought that phone java games were enable and present in multimedia option...java games present in my KG-300 are!
1---Fruits Go.
2---Bunny Golf.
3---Thunder Of Visit.
Lot of peoples are complaining about java games that they are not present in multimedia but u can install/Enable them from LG,s Service center without any cost becouse My KG-300 comes without its software...

hiee, thanks for launj lg dynamite but Infrared is important which is absent. Plz. can anyone tell me about the audio and video format supported by this n is the sound quality is bad…..3gp quality is not good. Camera clarity…This instrument CAN NOT install any games or applications. as it is not JAVA compatible !! Has anyone managed yet to install JAVA on this phone?
My KG300 does not support Java Applications. From where can I get the update s/w for the phone. Please advise.

kg 300 is very very good product of LG
but shown this ,how transfer contect name & SMS mobile to my computer then that time very puzzled when be done memory full.dynmite is realy dynamite in mobile -duniya......

Im Using that phone..Overall its performance is gr8, we can remove operator logo, displays is really excellent coz i also have D900 of Samsung whose display is simply the best but when i compare them both i fell both r almost same but kG-300,s display was little bit sharp then D900, Camera without Flash is very good but in sunlight/daylight conditions, video quality is just ok coz it can play MP4 Video but cannot shoot mp4 video coz its recorded video reminds me the video of Sony Ericsson w800 but its little batter then that, Good feature of video is that we can forward or rewind video while playing same like we do in VCR, Battery timing is average like Samsung i found its talk time up to 3hours, but the drawback inthat phone i feel is its signal strength which is not good like Motorolla, Sonyericsson or nokia.....But Still i have and i like that phone...

Is there ANYONE out there with a Java enabled KG300?? Or is it just a Myth?

Rahul, is your KG300 Java enabled? Was it with Java when you bought it or did you upgrade it (I refer to your post earlier)?

1. how long is the duration of the video recording I can take in single shot using LG KG300?
2. can I remove the operator logo from the screen?
3. how big is the maximum capacity of transflash suported by LG KG300?
