It's OK, but the battery life is always the problem for LG. Please LG release 1000 mAh battery for this beautiful device.

IMHO, it is a very stylish phone. However, like the KG800, thats all there is to it. I think that around this time, if a cellphone were to only have a 1.3MP camera then it should at least support video conferencing. Too bad though, if LG had released both the KG800 and KG810 at the time 1.3MP was as good as a cellphone's camera gets, then I'd actually acknowledge them as very good phones. For a cellphone of these specs to be released at this day of time it is very sub-standard.

to bill,
How come you know the downsides of this phone? Do you have it or do you actualy used it? or maybe you are only comparing this phone to lg's old model phones.
Gosh! take a break, please be true on your post. I had a old lg phone and UI is as good as any other major manufacturer and the alarm tones can be customized with downloaded sounds except with the sms tone.

I was very close to buying the KG800 but a few things put me off which will likely remain the same for the 810.
Firstly, the design is drop dead gorgeous. And in Malaysia the 800 came with a very nice package. 2 batteries, desktop charger, screen protector etc.
However, the downside to the phone is its features. In this day and age, for a phone lacking in basic functions like speakerphone and assignable ringtones for alarm and sms is pretty much a given. Unfortunately this phone didn't have any of those.
I think it really depends on what you want in a phone. I do not mind that the camera isn't great but I do emphasize having a speakerphone and I love to wake up in the morning to some good music.
Someone from Brazil mentioned this phone is going for 500USD, which comes up to about 2k in Malaysia. That is very pricey. I could get the 800 for 1.2k and I doubt the 810 will cost 2k in Malaysia. Just look at its functions.
My quest for a new phone continues ...

If you look at the features on this phone compared to some of the phones coming out, they aren't all that great. LG have put in the standard fixtures which you would expect in this day and age, but if you look at some of the Sony phones that are coming onto the market soon, this one kinda pales in comparison.
That said though, the design of this one is awesome. No denying that. Much better than the 800, in my view.

Hi all,
In Brazil the KG810 is being sold at around USD500.00. It came to the market recently and it seems like it is going to be a hit!
I love it!!!
Is it being sold in Singapore? Do you think it will be cheaper than this?
Thank you!!

The design is great... But I still prefer da chocolate... Melt in your hand.
One big drawback on LG phones, FiNgErPrInT are easily seen on da phone...

No not at all you only have to go onto ebay to see the LG chocolates selling at around £200. I think of LG like samsung, samsung wasn't really that popular with cell phones or TV sets for that matter until they made the T100, but everyone wanted T100 back in 2002. Since Samsung made the t100 its seems to have catapulted the company into a higher consumer class and ubiquity status. I remember i was in a electrical store and i wouldn't buy a Samsung DVD player over a TOSHIBA one back before 2002, now i rank SAMSUNG very high on my list, much higher than TOSHIBA now ironically. The same to is happening with LG with their chocolate range. I never thought much of LG phones till the KG800 came out i knew they invented HDTV and are the no.1 LCD flat panel TV manufacturers but now i notice they make other high quality electronic items also, TV's, DVD recorders etc. Its all about branding and style if a company gets that right they will be successful and be able to comand a market price and the KG800 and KG810 is all the latter.
