40 or 64 etc channels on poly ring tones means that the mobile can play a sound combination of more musical organs simultaneously so the sound is more melodic like an orchestra.

3 MAIN DIFFERENCES
1. KU790 has 3G and Dual Cameras(ke790 doesn't have 3g and frontal cam)
2. KU790 has QVGA video (ke790 only has QCIF video format=loe resolution)
3 Internal memory varies

this is the 3G version from the KE970
from what i heard that it will be in the UK ,Asia and oz later this year.

Nigel, you can use the T9, however when using this function to text just use the scroll to view other text options. It's easy!
