I think you should stop complaining.i see all kinds off regrets( that it doesent have irda, or bluetooth, ore that the memory is too small), but when you bought it you knew the specifications.and i see a lot of people saying that it freezes , and i dont know what bad things, that they cant open it. i have this phone for 6 months now, and i want to tell you that for its money is perfect. it works very good without all that buggs you guys are saying.the battery life is good, the camera is also good, good display, good design, its very functional.in comparation with my last phone philips 350 this is great. i wil advise you not to buy philips but i tell you that this phone is very good.is true that it doesent have irda , or i dont know what but its cheap.the only thing that bothers me is that the browser is imode and not wap. and in romania and other countryes this technology isnt available yet, so you cant send mms or navigate on the internet. that is the only bad thing. but in rest buy this phone. this is my advise.

stop complaining about this fone! its like $250, is nuthins rong with it!!! its awesome! i recommend u buy it! the carema's great aswell. if your u=nsure about buying this fone cuz of the ppl who said it was rubbish, dont listen 2 them, ok so there's about 21 ppl complaining about this fone IN THE HOLE WORLD!!! there the rubbish, not the fone! x

Same problem as others, 8 months old with occasional use. The phone drops out to i mode and requires restarting. Unreliable piece of junk!

i bought this fone a couple of months ago and i regret it. i need to buy another one because this loses reception easy, mms doesnt work, it is continuously freezing and going onto that little screen with the egg timer and i have to turn it off to get it to work again. i think it looks really nice and it takes awesom pictures but altogether i could buy an older phone that works better and i wouldnt complain soo much.
dont waste your money. get something that will last you for a while unless you have to patitents to turn your fone off and on ever 20 minutes to see if you have recieved any messages or anything.

I bought this phone about 3 weeks ago,
I took it home and it was great and just yesterday the server went down on it.
I think dont but this phone. It is not reliable and it doesnt have any good features such as Bluetooth or Infared.
But if u like it go 4 it and b ut it but I am telling u it is not a great fone.

i bought this phone about 5 months ago and a i am pretty happy. the camera is very good.
the battery life is in average 4 days wich is good.if you want to listen music this is not a good phone. if you want a reliable phone this is it.

If u really want an enoing phone just buy it. Lots of service problems, i got in service manny phnose with the same problem - CRASHED SOFTWARE

i love the phone its great, i called it Timothy. Ive got the same problem as that guy though, how do you send a photo in a normal message without it using imode???! please help.

THe only reason i have not had to repair this one is because i try to avoid this excuse of a communication device. Yes, it works, but that is all that I can say beout it.. Almost any added function sucks.. Up to and including the ways of storing contacts...
On more then one occation i have been tempted to use the L342i as a hammering device, even if there were more suitable objects near... But since the insurance will only give me the same device back, breaking it just means anohter one of those crap devices. Since I can hardly think of some one inhis sane mind would actually buy this device on purpose I fear the phone companies have a lot of those personal trinklets of hell in storage to give as replacement devices (I got it as my contract with my provider was about to end, in excahnge for 2 more years.. yeah i should have looked at the device first)

can not figure out how to send mms without going onto imode? does anyone know how to send photos in normal messaging mode? would be much appreciated

i have hade this phone for 6 months and there have been no problems but ther is no bluetooth which sucks and the camera is dodgy. I cant seem to find the games. Besides that it is an ok phone but i wouldn't buy it again.

I have had this phone for 5 months. It is terrible. I cannot see anything i like about it. I have had it in to be repaired 3 times since i bought it. When i got the phone the handsfree was already buggered and they basically said theres nothign wrong with it.Now that i am trying to get out of the contract and everything, they are telling me i need to have the "box" that it came in. How many people keep the box? This phone does not take good pictures, you cannot download songs as ring tones. You cannot take pictures and send them to a friends phone unless you are emailing them. There are continuous faults with this phone and the fact that LG and Telstra are making it hard toget out of the contract is a poor effort on their behalves. I would not recommend this phone to anyone. I have always been a nokia person until this phone..... Well guess what im going back too?

I've had this phone for 4 months.
I'd not buy it again.
First the internal screen stopped working almost immediately and I waited two months to get it repaired.
The software is buggy, The internal game doens't work so I'm not sure if it is good or not. The external display gets stuck on the "call in progress" graphic if you close phone without disconnecting a call. The "Please Wait" message appears fairly frequently and it takes ages to startup.
But, the most annoying thing is that LG seem to have forgotten the phone's primary uses. To call and sms. For some reason, they decided to put two buttons to access the camera (thats fairly useless), one button to read the Email (ie. spend money) one button to enter in I-Mode (also fairly useless) and no button to read sms...??!!
But a good point about the phone is that while the photos are crappy and you have to pay to get them out of the phone the flash light is very bright and makes a handy torch.
My friend advised me to buy a Nokia before I bought this phone, but it was cheap.
Next time I'm going to listen to him.

This phone serves the purpose but other wise isnt too great. my friend has it and the camera isnt too great. it doesnt take videos, doesnt have bluetooth and becomes boring after a while. don't get me wrong its a pretty little phone but i suggest getting the LG KG245. its slightly better and looks it too. oh and the external screen of this phone isnt colour so just keep those things in mind when purchasing this phone. if u are buying you first phone this ones is great for a start but if you are looking for something with style and better features then stay clear from this one.

I do not recommand this phone to anyone as it has a problem of re-charging the battery. It will start giving problems after six months or so...

First, I think that it's on perpuse to dont let you transfer any files from pc to mobile and backwords cause they want you to use i-mode and give them money. Second to take photos for your contacts you must reduce the srceen resolution to 48x48 and then automatically will save it to "Phonebook Pictures". And last but not list I contact with LG support and they told me that the alarm clock works only when the phone is switched on for all LG models.HA HA.And that is not a Bug E?
