This phone has a great design with all the features and 128 MB internal memory.....really good.....but software is not consistent....it hangs sometimes while in call without doing any specific thing........if s/w quality could have been better,this phone would have a great success for LG.........

Can video recorder be used as voice recorder. Since dictaphone is only for 20sec.

Thanks to Saam Owen for clearing up some of the 'confusion' between LG and Samsung, not on my part though. I'm glad someone who really does know what they're talking about is putting things straight and giving good advice to those who obviously are much bigger fans of the ever common Nokia and Motorola handsets which, in my opinion, are certainly no better than LG's handsets and in some respects, inferior. I've been buying LG products since 1997 when the brand name was changed from Goldstar in the UK and i've had nothing but praise and thus i will defend them passionately. Keep up the good work LG, much impressed! (sorry to anyone who doesn't like what i've written, feel free to have a rant at me, it really is of no consequence to me). :-P

This phone looks great but 128 mb and no support for any type of flash card... damn.
having an se w800 that comes with 512mb this feels like an kids toy. why not have support for transflash card? smallest card i have ever seen. ir port isnt a big deal, ir is slow and you have to point it to get a signal. bloototh is faster and you can have your phone where ever you want. sure itīs a toy, but still it looks GREAT!

As I an LG Employee, I feel that I am need to clear some confusion perpertrated by some of the people in this forum.
Firstly, As someone said earlier, Aside from the fact that LG and Samsung are both Korean Based Companies, They do not have anything else in common and are not the SAME organisation.
Secondly, In response to the post left by Graham, LG do not have as a majority, Ex-Samsung Employees.
Other than that, Everyone is entitled to their own opinion based on their experiences with LG products but do not base your information (as per above) on lies, hearsay, innuendo or rumour.
If you do not like LG Products based on past experience, Rather than complain and criticise every LG product without buying one, Use your power as a consumer and BUY SOMETHING ELSE.

This phone will cant compete with w550i
memory is 256 in w550i
The screen size is only 108x78pixel with i.3megapiel camera

I think this mobile with size didn't need external memory and 128 MB more than enough when you use it it's very nice mobile

I don't own this phone, i have a U880 n think its ace. I'm just feelin the need to correct some inconsistencies on this forum. LG and samsung are separate companies, both from korea, but separate. They both make their own components in house and rarely collaborate. As for who is copying who?? we'll never know because phones get released at different times, and it doesn't mean that the first to be released in your country was the first of that design. Anyway if a design is popular...why not mimic it, i would!

my god what is all this comparison with lg and samsung? samsung factory is lg factory and vice versa so bacically LG=Samsung. geddit? i like this fone, its small and good for its price.

i read all the comments.i m using this phone from past 2 months.its great.except IR,it includes everything and IR is also not required if BT is available.Screen is small but if we require small phones then screen should be small also.but camera quality is 2 good...enjoy.

Not this but any LG cellphone or product you buy doesn't have a long guarantee that it is going to work for you.believe me i was an Lg's big fan, i used to buy all the electronics from lg within the period of 2to3yrs i almost spend about 30grands on lg but thats it, it will only last u for 2to3yrs even though they are not using there on parts but they suck ,it will be much better not to have consumer product from lg .
