kaz, 02 Dec 2012yeah you are right but that's an old news the latest news coming from LG person is that there ... moreIt's pretty easy to explain why 4G(LTE) works on Canada, they have LTE on the same frequencies that other countries have HSPA (1700/2100 ranges, which are supported by this phone) hence the phone will have the required transceivers for their LTE.
It's just a fortunate coincidence, no one should really expect a widespread update that would bring LTE for this phone (because there is missing hardware to do so for all regions).
vicky, 01 Dec 2012The reason why gsmarena is waiting to review it is bcoz lg hav nt released its full specs yet.... moreThe phone has an 4G chip but it needs the correct power amplifier and antenna to utilize it. Currently it only has that hardware for Bands 1,2,4 because those frequencies are used by HSPA which the LTE chip can piggyback on. Only Band 4 is enabled by the software, which is used in Canada. The other bands besides 1 & 2 will probably never be enabled, hence it will not have LTE functionality outside of Canada and maybe T-Mobile.
man is it true that the nexus available on Google play store at $300 and $350. will only work on T-mobile and AT&T service in America. PLZ HELP
vicky, 01 Dec 2012The reason why gsmarena is waiting to review it is bcoz lg hav nt released its full specs yet.... moreyeah you are right but that's an old news the latest news coming from LG person is that there is 4G capable device on the chipset because it uses the same chipset as LG OPTIMUS G. But the antennas and filters are missing to bring the cost down. But some how its working with 4G in Canada. But don't expect any software update to fix that untill and unless LG puts the required Hardware. Which I think is not going to happen.
If you have to choose a nexus 4 and an optimus g, which should you choose? Plz reply
LG nexus 4 is very very good in features and its hardware is also too good and its build quality is also very good while samsung galaxy nexus build quality is bad
if lg put an internal memory 16 and 32gig even without cardslot, this will be perfect.
The reason why gsmarena is waiting to review it is bcoz lg hav nt released its full specs yet. Theres 4g chip built in this device (as fond by ifixit.com) bt theres no software option to enable it. Lg will soon release an update that will enable google to allow 4g in this phone. That will happen after optimus g stocks are cleared. Yep thats what i read on gsmarena blog.
In romania it cost 450 EURo! LG are doing a great job....Thanks Google for the low price ,I'll buy it from amazon .de or .fr or maybe why not .co.uk :) I don't mind to buy it from our ******* online shops from romania

8/16 gb internal memory!!! (no micro sdhc)....i hope with USB OTG capabilities... maybe we can use a 32/64 gb flash drive,,, or an external hdd maybe...???????
Dr. George, 01 Dec 2012thank alot for your review, but in your opinion what is the best nexus 4 or optimus g?? plz be honestHonestly, I haven't used the Optimus.
With this phone, I am absolutely fine till date.. Not a single lag, not a single issue except a little heating at the back, which supposedly is cuz of the quad core processor and the glass laminate that I haven't removed till date..
If you ask about the speed, this is unparalleled!
Performance, 9.5 out of 10 stars I would give.
Jelly bean experience if fun, efficient and productive.
Yes, its an LG Hardware, but am sure Google must have ensured good deal from LG!
Besides, if I am not wrong, you don't get an Optimus at the price that you are getting the Nexus!
DevilMind007, 01 Dec 2012can we remove battery??Hi.
Battery cannot be removed easily per se.
You need to take out two screws at the back to get access to the battery. Too much of a hassle if you ask me..
But I don't think battery removal is required with this beauty.. It works pretty fine for 15/18 heavy usage.
DevilMind007, 01 Dec 2012can we remove battery??no, you cannot remove the battery
in Romania,a poor country,LG Nexus 4 E960 cost 470 Euro!Verry,verry expensive...
