if it had at least 32gb of sstorage and LTE, there wouldn’t had have any possible competition. it would have killed evrything (except those new 5inche 1080p phones)
My only problem with this phone is that it might not be launched here in the philippines... :( ,i hope it will, i will definitely buy it, even at a bit higher price than the said price 300$(8GB) and 350$(16GB)
I assume this is a entry-level smartphone? So where is the high end and mid range?
The 8GB version (unlocked) is priced at $299, while the 16GB version is$349.
Check the link
16gb is ok if there was a card slot.
Is there a reason y google make phone with less storge???
"The 8GB version (unlocked) is priced at $299, while the 16GB version is $349" WOW! it is a genocidal killer for the price range.
i have read that a sony nexus is coming, is it true ??? if yes i will wait for a sony nexus. any info guys ?? thanks
LOL everybody is talking about SD card or 8GB of memory..... look about other characteristics. 2GB RAM and Quad-core 1.5 GHz Krait + GPU Adreno 320 (and that is on 28nm tech process) . Adreno 320 is a real beast, this thing is 2x faster than Tegra 3. This phone is faster than GS3.... and all that just for 300$ (without contract). This phone will destroy everything out there.
Also WHY ONLY 8GB/16GB WITHOUT a microSD slot?!
16GB which is 12GB in reality is BARELY enough for music and photos!
Disappointed that the only device that gets updates directly from Google lacks such important aspect!

Shark, 29 Oct 2012Apple iphone 5 has more features on it's camera like panorama and hdr and it has video stabili... moreit has a 350 dollar lower price tag...
the panoramic camera you speak of was introduced by google and has been on all android phones for quite some time now. this phone also adds full 360-degree panoramic shots
iOS is in no way better than android. it's a locked down environment designed to limit a user's freedom. android running on a nexus phone (without a third party interface) is far superior from both the consumer's and developer's point of view.
the display might as well be the same, as far as DPI
the drawbacks of the nexus 4 are that it has relatively small storage and no LTE
it's a weird phone for google, but considering you can buy two for the price of an iphone 5, I guess their goal is consumers not interested in 3-year contracts, or ones aware of the actual cost of ownership of phones
