My fist and the only experience with an LG cellphone (LG Arena), was really awful, I had to return the mobile to the seller after 4 days due to a huge ammount of isues (software and hardware), however this one looks pretty good, I'm wondering the impact of the dual core in the battery life, also does anyone know if will be available for the 3G Network 850?

i think its better to wait till the MWC event next month before buying this phone. Samsung has something big coming and possibly HTC. Those are better products than LG although this phone is very great

Battery life is not mentione... Galaxy S has main issue on battery life.

from now on, please stop speculating about the specifications. it does play back DivX/Xvid format. i have got the spec from Optimus 2X official LG Electronics website.

--> maybe. if the game is flash, doesnt need a keyboard, and has no mouse overs, u shud be able to play it. that said, i doubt it will be as good as playing it on ur desktop (if it works). but there r loads of games that u can download from the market place and play on the device. u can even hook the phone up to a tv and use it as a controller.

2) Compare to Motorola Atrix 4G, which is better?
that depends on which features u consider more important, but ill do a comparison based off of the specs gsmarena provided:

SCREEN:
both r the same size and tft with 16mil colors. however, atrix has more resolution. this has the advantage of text looking more crisp/clear. u will get images and text that r less pixelated. however, 800*480 is also really high and the difference shud not be too noticeable. the disadvantage of the atrix resolution is that it will be the only android phone out there with that resolution. compatiblity with other android apps will be more limited or u will get black edges and the app will appear much smaller on ur screen. also all images and text appear much smaller on ur screen so u might need to constantly zoom in for some apps/websites/images. idk how bad it will be tho since atrix is not available. also the lower the resolution, the less processing power it needs so the lg shud run smoother and hv more fps and better gameplay.

MEMORY:
atrix has 16gb internal
lg has 8gb internal
both support sd cards up to 32gb. if u dont plan on using sd cards, atrix is better. if u do, then it is a tie since they both hv unlimitted memory (as long as u hv enuf money to keep buying sd cards)

CAMERA:
i cant think of any motorola phone which had a really good camera. lg has 8mpx, atrix has 5mpx. for some reason, atrix cant record 1080p which the lgcan. lg also has a better front facing cam. 1.3mpx vs vga in atrix. if u think the camera is an important feature on a phone, get the lg.

BATTERY:
my guess is atrix shud hv the longer battery life since it is 1930 mAh and lg has 1500mAh. however, lg said that they were working on power conservation. idk how true this is but 1 spokesperson said that only 1 core wud run and the other wud turn on if it was needed. motorola has more resolution as well which requires more processing power which also decreases battery life. altho my guess is that moto has better battery.

EXTRAS:
atrix:
- fingerprint scanner. idk when this wud be useful
- motoblur ui. i hate it. i prefer stock android
- active noise cancellation with dedicated mic. good and useful, unless it glitches or there is a bug in it.

lg:
- gyro sensor. this is a feature that was added with the introduction of android 2.3. also it was confirmed that lg wud get android 2.3.
- dolby mobile and srs sound enhancement. lg shud hv better sound quality.
- hdmi mirroring. when u connect ur phone to a larger screen, u can use it as a remote control. this is great if u want to play android games or view sites/documents from ur phone on a larger display. also its great for movie playback. idk if moto has this feature.

--> u said u had 2 questions. whats this 1 doing here? no, i dont think lg put in an led notification light. do u need it? just by looking at the screen u will know if u hv missed calls or unread msgs, emails...

there r a few videos on youtube u cud watch for the review. but frankly if ur considering anything that has less than the 1ghz dual core in this phone, u shud just buy the htc desire hd or nexus s which r both currently available.

how is led notification the most important feature on a phone? why would i want a light constantly blinking in my pocket (and draining battery for no reason)? when u take it out of ur pocket, u can just look at the screen which will show u if u hv missed calls, msgs, emails...

Smooth, fast and powerful phone from LG.

Any idea how their support is like? Firmware update, patch & etc? Still No Led Notification :(

Gona buy this when it come out, hope it doesn't have any problem or give me bad experience like some of the phones i got. Soft speaker/crashing/hang and etc

this phone rocks in every aspec! Motorola artix wont be availible soon, cuz they cant set right driver for andorid on dual-core, and i also saw on yt, when they were showing off its hdmi, motorola artix froze for no reason... and Optimus 2x is better cuz, its more stylish and more thin because they put less weight 1500Mah battery that's enough for Tegra 2... LG OPTIMUS 2X rocks!
