Nasir, 02 Feb 2012Hello all the geeks out there....I have researched extensively on this Galaxy R and i am very ... moreI have the 2x, the written specs on the camera sound good but its not that great, it almost seems as if it has a smokey haze over shadowing the pics, the phones hardware its extremely fast though
i cmpared and find the stock music player is still better than poweramp ... poweramp is clear but it loses reality... but lg stock player wrks nicely.... i cmpared same music on both players of same playback of 5secs . poweramo compresses flourocensly losing reality... means 2x
has best player in andriid world
many ppl say install custom rom to dis phone..
m not an expert but can someone give a link on how to install cyanogenmod.......(video)
Love the phone, but I'll admit I had to root it and manually install Gingerbread and a custom kernel (not difficult).
You really can't beat it for the price.
Still feels snappy today (1 year after).
my screen started flickering and speaker was going mad. i had to do a hard reset by pressing volume down and lock.... new i noticed it faster and amazing and better then when bought... but ids there any way to remove bloatware without rooting.... also i really cry for three ram so i need to throw bloats
saurabh2012, 09 Feb 2012lg optimus 2x users does this phone have any problem?dis phone is gr8...
MIUI nearly destroyed my phone! I do not recommend it for O2X users! btw when on earth is lg releasing the ICS?? Does ANYONE know??
Rohit Jairaj Singh, 06 Feb 2012ICS on LG Optimus 2x: http://miuiandroid.com/category/miui-ics-v4-0/I really didn't understand the page MIUI, I didn't see anything. Remember Im new with this, I still have my blackberry, but I want to change to android.
I am a "rare" user of LG in Singapore. 1 thing I noticed is that their handsets are very similar to Samsung. Perhaps Android make it looks the same.
But Samsung tend to have more problems, according to some of my friends, than LG (in terms of phone which are released around the same time period).
For me, the LG Optimus 2X is made in Korea. I don't know about others. But the one I'm using is good. Battery life drains fast.
Overall, 7.5/10 for this phone.
hey. really considering buying this but i have a question. I had a samsung galaxy s 4g (carrieT-mobie)but got stolen. if i buy this will it still work on my 4g network since is a 3g? THX

Hello there.. Is this phone getting ICS? I really like this phone because of its dual core processor, but i wanna make sure if it is getting ice cream sandwich. I'm a little doubtful of getting this device, atrix 2(with 1gb of ram)or nexus s. I just want to switch from my blackberry.
PMD, 03 Feb 2012I'll say R.. But just make sure its available and has no hardware issues.. thats a severe do... moreThanks PMD, I will definitely consider your opinion on Galaxy R, and the least price I have explored for the phone is around 19K, tell me if you know a dealer who can crack it in a better price...can i also request you to share ur ideas on why Galaxy R is a better phobe than 2X, keeping in mind 2X has better camera features...?

thats a severe doubt in ma mind... dont know if its a rumour or what..
And pls let me know what phone u buy and the price today...
i have it for two months now, and i have to say that despite many negative comments all over the net it is a very nice phone indeed
one thing that definitely could be improved is camera, pictures are worst than with any of my previous phones (n900, e72, n82) - i really expected more here
first thing that you need to do is update software to latest 2.3 android, it is a must have, otherwise you will be disappointed!
(there is ics coming in a month or so, but personally i would wait for few more months, as decent software is hardly a lg strong side)
then if you want get most of your phone install titanium backup and remove all bloatware that this phone is filled with, it really, really helps - there is handful of forums that will guide you on what can be removed safely
after that just use it :)
for past 6 weeks i didn't have single problem with it (i.e. no reboots, no battery drain, no calls problems etc.)
i guess it is NOT a good phone for android beginners, but it can work extremely well if you willing to spend few hours tuning it (and with recent amazon sales it can be purchased unlocked for around 220 euro, which seems extremely good value for me)
