the phone is heating not overheating and even the heating isnt so bad it just feels warm theres nothing wrong with that.
its just anti lg crybabys that are jealous we got a high and phone and 150 euro in our pocket while they just have a high end smartphone that isnt even as good :)

Someone asked step by step to edit gps.conf...Look it up there are a few tricky steps and you need root access.

Best gpu,cpu, and chipset and the mst impotnt thing abt LG gadgets is it has best quality last long products in my home i hav almst LG products

adn really its not smoother or fasternore offers new features so why bother to update?

i have yet ti find me 1 person that can come with facts that make updating worth it.
so far jelybean only has brough problems.

After upgrade I suggest you to do a factory reset. That way phone will work nice and smooth. :)

I think the GPS might be causing my time zone to change to Taipei everytime the phone is turned on, either in automatic or manual time zone. (if it's not the GPS, does anyone know how to fix this? It's messing with a important reminder, turning it off)

There're also several apps tagged as system, how do I remove them?

and frankly i dont think updating is any good or better at all.
just use v10h and youl be fine theres not much point in updating as theres not much interesting added.
in my opinion update to 4.1 if you want custom roms otherwise theres no reason to.

If I update the OS, can I easily return to the previous one if I don't like it (I don't mind erasing my data and doing a factory reset)? Or I'll be stuck (I know there's downgrading, but seemed complicated, wanted something easy and quick)?

Is it worth to update? Is there some place with the list of changes?

after a while i realised some numbers where from whatsapp some where on the phone and some where on the sim.
i ended up syncing everything to sim and phone and then set it to phone display only and everything worked.

I was being fooled by some of the contacts having a little sim icon next to it, so I thought the contacts were stored on my phone and only rthose with the icon were on the sim

Of course there is! Settings - Sound - Phone ringtone - Press + in upper right corner and select file you want for your ringtone. :)

it goes like this :

1.copy all contacts from your sim to your phone as its not possible from sim (the sim does not support storing ringtone data on it).

to do this open your contacts open the menu and select import/export there cope all your sim contacts to your phone.

2.now to prevent double contacts in your contact list go to the contact app again if your no longer there and select display options (in the menu (right button) or whatever its called in english (its the option below import/export) and select phone.

-now simply go to your contat list click on a contact and click the edit button on top (the white icon with the pen) and set your ringtone with either android system (this requires the purple music app to be enabled and your mp3 ringtones to be in the ringtones folder on your internal SD )or with a custom app like es file explorer to browse to the file and select it.

some notes :
-if you added pics to your contacts you might have to redo this.

say what you have tried what didnt work what apps you have installed and people can help rather then listen to another claim of a bad device which is a 1 off so far based on your info.
ive never seen anyone with your problems so it must be something you did which is fixed by a reset or you have a bad piece of hardware in which case you return it get a new one and its fixed.
