> In reply to wise man @ 2012-10-25 03:22 from JF5C - click to readso your basicly stating that androic 2.3 is a bad os that does not atter or does not fuction correctly thats a bold statement and a rather stupid one.

the 2x speed works fine no matter what android it has.
what does 4.0 and 4.1 really add that is important name me some that actualy matters and is not possible to get by installing apps.

im fairly sure you cannot name me a single thing as there is none.

> In reply to pino @ 2012-10-25 00:25 from iJe8 - click to readLG 2X used to be samsung s2 rival but look now .

2x is still gingerbread 2.3.5 and there is no update .
S2 now is ICS 4.0.3 and there will be update for jelly bean 4.1

Samsung do care about customers and always gave new software and That's why samsung always in the top while LG only care about sell the products ..

> In reply to DrusHe3eR @ 2012-10-24 17:18 from fm06 - click to read1. bullcrap its better then the competition
2. what a stupid ignorant statement as it does support it its just not out yet...
3. once more bullcrap its fine for a phone camera infact its the exact same camera module as in the HTC one x which is getting good reviews all over the world.
and people always expect to much rfom phone cameras but frankly they know nothing about the technology.
phones simply are not made for night photography.
in fact NO digital camera is as good as a normal film camera at low light photography.

This device is simply amazing , except for these things
1. The battery life is short
2. It doesn't support android 4.1 , which is odd considering it's a flagship
3. The camera is not good , specially in night
so if you okay with these things then you will love it

@Wan, thanks for telling us the sincere truth.
Some people enjoy ingenuity. some could've gotten a defective unit.
Please i want to ask you something. Do you have adobe's flash installed on your phone?
If yes, how were you able to do it?
This phone is bomb, so fanboys beware cos your ass might get blown any minuite in the wrong teritory.

Samsung or Lg, they are simply brandnames.
Note2, s3, galaxy whatever, they are built with different categories of people in mind just like the opt4x hd. Now pause...think this way.
What would i want to use this device mostly for?
browsing, music, taking photos, and maybe watchin movies.
Here samsung is mostly appraised for their widescreen devices although not the best in color reproduction, and sometimes for their good camera features and quality, but that's not to say Lg isn't good in itself instead what you intend to do mostly with it has great bearing here. You must choose based on the features that suits you most as a person and not confusing yourself with which of the phones has the most outstanding features.
since samsung seems to be doing just fine in most of the aforementioned categories though, Lg does have it's champ sides too.
This phone for example has been tasted side by side with a s3 and it manages to outdo the s3 with its 4.7" display which has the best colour so far. This phone also runs on "nvidia tegra3 processor"! You know what that means...?
Ok, it means you can enjoy console-like games on your phone plus numerous graphical magics when running graphical apps.
One other great side of lg is their design. Have you taken time to look at the optimus 4xhd Perhaps in the youtube review or in sample photos?
No one can deny the fact that the design is simply a dealbreaker for samsung's...
Although both these phones look alike specswise speaking, they stil have differeces.
bottomline: get any one that will serve you most. and please stop posting questns evrywhere.
Soon optimus G mostly likely will launch if not already launched and some people will still want to inquire which one should i buy?.
That reminds me.
@Anonymous, you were asking the difference betwen dual and quad cores?
Their isn't big difference between the two for now.
But to make it short. if you need a stronger battery android device that will serve u very well and not for show offs get a dual core as it's still usable and apparently will continue to be until whenever google goes bankruptcy...
But if u want to play in the big boys league then go get a tested-wellworking opt4xhd cos that's what i'll get soon. Just waiting for the market price to depreciate a little in nigeria.
Currently it still sales for nearly $600 in my country.
If you found this post helpful then rate it please?

Sold Galaxy Note - got tired of pentile and big size :)
Had a choice between Galaxy Note 2 and Optimus 4x HD.
Looked at both and has been disappointed with Galaxy Note 2: the screen is not the same pentile, but still it's worse, than pure IPS in text readability.

So, I have chosen Optimus. And screen is really amazing.
What is bad:
battery is still under question. I have installed 10f and removed all system bloatware, like LG services, etc.
Still, in night idle mode, with data connection turned off and no any sync it drains a lot: 10-15% per night. I had only 1-2% on Galaxy Note custom ROM.
Will investigate further, cannot believe it's a SENTENCE :-O
Another disappointment is a sound chip (it uses some weird MAXblablabla chip). Sound quality even in good headphones is noticeably worse, than for instance in Galaxy Note (and moreover Galaxy Note 2) and in iPhone5. A little bit better when equalizer with profile, close to "rock" is on. But nevertheless mid frequancies are a mess (not well-separated) and sound is not so crystal & tasty as I'd like to.

Weird notice: I have run dvdrip video and noticed only 1 core is used. But mustbe more are used only with some special proggies.

> In reply to confused @ 2012-10-22 06:42 from JF5C - click to readLG 4x HD vs note 2 = completely different device for different people if you need the big screen for something get that otherwise dont.

LG 4x hd vs samsung S3 take whatever device you think look best if you dont have a brand preferance or like/dislike specivic features.

i can give you y reasons to take the lg but those are mine and you might think differently so try them out and buy what you like.
